I agree that a permanent ban isn't necessary and NGD should look into it a bit more before they drop a permanent ban on someone. However in this particular case, the player was fully aware of what he was doing and had no intention to bind at another save based on his statement made here.

You cannot go back and pick this alter.
Where I spawn cannot be duplicated by other people.
Thus said, there will not be armies of people spawning there preventing war

I kept it as my alter because I often go reskill to help people level up....

I don't want to change my alter... never will... just like I am keeping all my old weapons and armor. It's MINE, I got and did everything legit. Your lack of understanding "save camping me" stole time from my life and made everyone around me in real life suffer.

A one week ban and threat of a permanent ban if he still refuses to select another bind point would have made more sense. Either way he isn't innocent unlike the scenario you pointed out.
