Thanks for explaining. Yes that does sound really nasty and I'd be outraged, too. Let's be honest, we all make mistakes and screw shit up. But NGDs communication with the people that put time and money into this game is severely poor.
We have no updates because of Holidays (OK, fair enough), then they come back to a power outage in the office. You know what I do? Remote from home. I have ssh access, version control and a laptop. Do you need much more to do a little work? Why do you need an office? Alternatively, use that downtimes to just post a few short answers to queries so we know you're still there and even remotely care.
The OP deserved his ban for some of the words he said to NGD on their forums, but I can understand his frustration. I hope they fix his account, and everyone else on that server. "Please be patient" works for a week or two max. Not 5. After that they deserve a little more of an update so they can decide to invest any more time in a company that lets them down, or move onto something else.
