no carga RO

Hola hasta ahora me funcionaba bien pero al bajar unas actualizaciones de la distro,uso solusos,no me deja entrar al juego me logueo,elijo servidor y desaparece,si ejecuto desde la terminal me manda este error :

NVIDIA: could not open the device file /dev/nvidiactl (Permiso denegado).
[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; SteamAPI_IsSteamRunning() failed.
[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; unable to locate a running instance of Steam, or a local steamclient.so.
NVIDIA: could not open the device file /dev/nvidiactl (Permission denied).

entre las actualizaciones entraba la de xorg,puede que tenga algo que ver? gracias de antemano.
la distro esta basada en debian;otra cosa si intento entrar como root :
