Default Battlezones Quick Guide

Welcome to the official Champions of Regnum Battlezones guide. This guide will cover the most basic information you may need to know about this game mode if you’re not at all familiar with it.

In order to play Battlezones, the first thing you’ll need are Battlezones Tickets, obtainable by achieving certain war objectives. However, Battlezone access will be completely free during the first week after they’ve been launched.
So with that out of the picture, and to be explained once Tickets are added to the game (you can refer to the game version’s changelog for more info on tickets), let’s proceed on how to join a Battlezone game.

How to join

Battlezones are game modes that occur in independent instances of the game, where level 60 players from all realms are gathered together for a limited amount of time.
Since Team Deathmatch is the game mode that’s going to be available on launch, you’ll be needing not only enemies, but allies as well.
Press your realm icon in the top right of your screen, right below the World Map icon, in order to access the Battlezones Menu.

A small menu that contains a brief explanation of the available game modes should appear, along with the ticket cost (0, in this case), and a “Join” button.
Clicking “Join” will add your character to the matchmaker system, whose purpose is to match you with other players of the server also looking for others to play with.
Keep in mind that clicking Join means that you’re compromising to actually enter the Battlezone when it has found people to play with.

After clicking Join, a small window shows up in the upper section of your game interface, dead center. This shows the following:

Name of the Game Mode: Speaks by itself. In this case, “Team Deathmatch” will be seen there.
Matchmaker Status: This indicates whether if the matchmaker is looking for other players or if enough players have been found.
Team members found: Shows how many players for each team have been found, as well as how many are needed. This serves the purpose of a “pool” of players, which is why you may notice in some cases that the number of players on queue exceeds the maximum for a single match.
Maximum class/subclass players per team: This shows the restrictions applied for the base game, in terms of classes/subclasses.

Match found!

After the matchmaker found enough players, the window described earlier will change, and will now show a “Join” button below a 60 seconds countdown.
Make sure to click the “Join” button before the countdown gets to zero. Once all players have clicked in it, you’ll be moved to the instance.

The instance will start and, if needed, will wait for those players who are still in the loading screen.
Once all players are ready, the match will begin, and you can start fighting your enemies!
By default, the match duration is 15 minutes. Once the timer reaches zero, the team with the most kills will win.

Those who earn their first victory of the day will receive a bonus amount of coins, only applicable to the first match won during that day.
Those who lose, will receive approximately 30% less than the players that win. If a draw between the 3 teams exist, all players will receive the same amount as if they had lost.

Notice that we don’t give specified numbers, as the prizes may vary from the first free week, to those that would be considered final once tickets are up and running.

Battlezone Interface

As you enter the Battlezone, you’ll notice that a special interface shows up in the top of your screen, where the current scores of the teams are shown. If you press it, you’ll get more information, including the names of the characters that belong to each team, as well as their individual scores.

You'll also notice three icons, each one of them representing a mini boss and its status.

Mini Bosses

The mini bosses are 3 special creature that reside in the BZ map, all of them with unique characteristic that once eliminated, they grant a special buff to the team that got the kill. Each of these bosses give the same buff.
If a team is under the effects of this buff and eliminates another boss, their buff will be reloaded in terms of duration.

You can observe the current status of each boss, by noticing the red outline. If the red outline is there, it means that the boss is alive. If it isn't, they may haven't spawned yet.

Reporting other users

Feel free to use our support system, at www.championsofregnum.com/support if you witness some sort of harmful activity during the game, such as, but not exclusively limited to:
  • Verbal abuse.
  • AFKing, intentionally desisting to play and follow the match’s objective.
  • Ragequitting (i.e. a player insults in the chat channels and leaves the game)
  • Intentional feeding the enemy team.

For now, this should cover any basic doubts you may have. However, the thread will remain open to receive questions and add more info to the guide, including images that would add a little color to the post

Thank you!
