Clan Chest purpose?

I was very excited to hear about the clan chest. However, after testing it's pretty useless. I know this is the beginning stages to this.
It's easier and takes less time for me to just to hold the item and trade them directly rather putting in clan chest then waiting for leader to send owl to a member.

After the member gets the item he/she can easily trade it to random people. Which could create abuse to items being taken from clan.
Should be some way that the clan leader can make the item clan use only? Not really sure if that's possible. Would like a restriction on the item being traded to randoms. So we can actually put good items in clan chest.

Also I don't understand why the clan chest is in the main city? Far out for lvl 60's. Just my opinion.

Any feedback to clan chest?
