Default Quick guide to statistics

Hello Community,

Since statistics seem to be a confusing subject even for veteran players, I decided I would write a little here about them, and try to explain how exactly (or near enough) they affect battle.

I will continue to update this post over time to include additional information and even theoretical formulas.


Base statistics in brief
Concentration
Attributes to hit chance and spell focus.
Constitution
Attributes to health, health regeneration, and knock down & stun resistance.
Dexterity
Attributes to evasion chances.
Intelligence
Attributes to mana, mana regeneration and spell resistance.
Strength
Attributes to carry weight.

A deeper look
Damage
Base damage is determined by the primary attribute.
Hit chance & spell focus
Hit chance and spell focus are determined by a combination of the primary attribute and Concentration.

Base statistics summary
Concentration
Hit chance and spell focus for all classes.*
Constitution
Helath, health regeneration, and knock down & stun resistance for all classes.
Dexterity
Evasion chances for all classes.
Damage, hit chance and spell focus for archers.
Inteligence
Mana, mana regeneration and spell resistance for all classes.
Damage, hit chance and spell focus for mages.
Strength
Carry weight for all classes.
Damage, hit chance and spell focus for warriors.

*Apparently, Concentration's contribution to hit chance and spell focus is lower than that of the primary attribute.

To do: List the exact amounts of health, mana and damage that statistics attribute for each class.

Explanation of chances
Hit chance
How likely an attack or spell is to not be evaded or miss.
Spell focus
How likely a spell is to not be resisted.
Evade chance
How likely the character is to evade an attack or spell.
Resist chance
How likely the character is to resist a spell. This comes from Intelligence and buffs.**
Block chance
How likely the character is to block an attack or spell.
Passive resist
"Hidden" resist chances for knock down and stun. This comes from Constitution.**
Miss chance
How likely the character is to miss.*

*Not a normal statistic and can only be modified by certain buffs.

Resist layers
Invulnerability*
The invulnerability layer prevents all attacks and powers from working on the character.
Divine intervention*
The Divine intervention layer blocks all non-damaging powers.
Miss layer
The miss layer is a combination of hit chance, evade chance, and miss chance, and gives a chance for an attack or spell to miss.
Resist layer
The resist layer gives a chance for a spell to be resisted.
Block layer
The block layer gives a chance for an attack or spell to be blocked.

*Prevents attacks and/or spells from even targetting the player, and thus gives no message in the combat log.
