Torrent download speed

I've started downloading the Linux installer, but I'm wondering how long I should expect this to take

After just over 30 minutes, the download is 0.31% complete. The download speed is typically 800-900 B/s - presumably because I'm downloading from 1 connected peer.

By my calculations, this download is going to take nearly a week !!! Or am I doing something hideously wrong???
