Default Segmentation Fault

I'm posting this in the Linux forum, because I'm running Linux, but lots of people are having similar issues, and I don't know if it's just the Linux users or not.

Recently I've suffered from crashes while playing. I'll be running through the WZ with a group of other people and all of a sudden I'll be looking at my desktop, and the client has crashed with:

Code:
Saving backtrace to crash_backtrace_15816.log
Got SIGSEGV (segmentation fault)
The strange thing about it is that I will log back in to find that 2 or 3 other members of my party have also crashed in exactly the same way. Normally, I'd just assume that I've had some sort of local configuration issue, but when multiple people all crash out of the game simultaneously, I assume there must be something wrong on a more global level.

Yesterday, I was in a full party when the crashing started. I tried to log back in and immediately crashed again 4 times. When I finally got back in and was able to stay online long enough to communicate with my friends, we found that there were only 2 people left in the party. Everyone else had crashed.

Normally this is just an annoyance, but occasionally it happens in the thick of battle and our characters stand there braindead until we can either get logged back in, or more likely until the enemies kill us and we log back in at the save. It happened to me the other day inside enemy territory and I rezzed outside their gate, effectively removing me from the invasion.

Also, yesterday it happened to a couple of us at the same time, and when I logged back in, I had 3 RP fewer than I had before, and I was half way across the WZ from where I crashed.

This is becoming very annoying, so I figured I should start a post about it. I did a quick search of the forum to see if I could find another thread about it, but came up with nothing. I'm sorry if I missed an existing thread.

Anyway, here's the crash_backtrace. It's always the same, and I now have hundreds of them in my "live" directory.
