Pauldrons are kind of in an arms race among MMO's. They just keep getting bigger and bigger (World of Warcraft is the biggest offender I think); so I guess NGD is just keeping up with the Joneses. Maybe pauldron's could be turned off like helmets.
The new models look great though. The armour is among the best I've seen in an MMO. It looks realistic (Pauldrons aside
), and is not garish. Faces of the models are great too.
More importantly, the characters are updated to be current while still keeping Regnum's tasteful style.
