Before I begin this post, there's some things I thing I should mention;

Yes, I am playing again (not much though, due to time constraints), after what turned out to be a very short break. I have taken some advice and switched clans. I want to be clear; this was done for a change of pace and as a genuine attempt to make the game more interesting to me. I still consider Apoc to be awesome, but a change was needed.

One of the main reasons for my TempQuit was the lack of a premium horse. I have one now, and have named it UPI, which stands for Unbalanced Premium Item. It is unbalanced, and any argument to the contrary is sure to be moronic. Unfortunately, the horse is needed if I am to have any hope in hell of reaching any place where my conj is needed before it is too late.

As far as having fun now is concerned; I have thought about this game (along with all its issues), and did some research, and here is what I've come up with;

Keeping the above definition in mind, I've restructured my thought process regarding RO; If something I am doing in-game is not amusing or diverting to me, I stop doing it.

Simple as that.

This MMO, for me, exists for the purpose of giving me some entertainment. If that means taking back Samal, fine. If it means parking my lock near a enemy gate and waiting, also OK. If it means pimp-walking my naked barb over to a Thorkul event for the sake of lulz, that's what's going to happen.

I think I was previously viewing this game as a loyalty-based life and death struggle; I now see it as being closer to the board game Monopoly. Sometimes, you just gotta say f*ck it and try to buy Free Parking.
