Regnum used hostnames

Hi, our providers' DNS stopped working so i was wondering what hostnames (and their IP's) is Regnum using to connect and all, so i can edit my hosts file. Thnx.

Er, what? You don't have DNS and don't know the IPs but you can still post on the forums?

Anyway, the web stuff (regnumonlinegame.com and regnumonline.com.ar) has this IP address: 91.123.197.140

I don't think you'll need DNS to enter the game because they just use IP addresses for the game servers when you use the launcher. But if that doesn't help you could always set your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 (thanks to Google for providing a DNS server with an IP address you can remember).

interesting suggestion but before doing it i would read this topic

just use openDNS for name resolution. I am not sure what you are talking about. google is not good.

If you have your reservations about Google, then sure, you can use other providers. But it can't hurt to have one memorable DNS IP address to use temporarily while researching which to use, right?

I had already added those to that IP, however I need to add the autopatch hostname to the hostsfile, like this:

74.125.65.99 google.com
91.123.197.140 www.regnumonline.com.ar
72.14.209.132 webcache.googleusercontent.com

Now I just need lines for the autopatch / char server or at least those that dont have IP's send along.

Btw, eventhough the problem is fixed, the info would still be handy in case NGD gets NS issues.

And it will be a PITA to troubleshoot if they ever change their IP addresses. Especially since this is stuff you put in there and don't remember half a year later.
