registration website bug: redirection

Hi all,

I recently fund a very annoying bug on the website registration system: it is not possible for the swiss people to register, because of the redirection rule used!

In details: when I try to register (either by clicking "Signup now" or "Create an account") from the main entrance (http://www.regnumonline.com.ar) I am redirected to http://regnum.gamigo.de. I registered on the german website (which was pretty difficult, since I don't speak german), but it seems there is no link between this website and regnumonline.

Is it a premeditated feature aiming to eliminate Swiss?

there was another thread about it already. And today a random german asked me for assistance to sign up.

Why are new german users locked out now???

They can not sign up without using tricks (such as proxy in another country).

one trick is to use a site such http://www.hidemyprivacy.com/ and type www.regnumonlinegame.com in the field and press "surf now"

The German/Swiss/Austrian server is coming soon. And as we said before, this is not a bug, it is the way it should work.

And another reminder before you jump into conclusions: even if you register through Gamigo you will be still be able to play on International Servers (for the moment "Ra") or you can choose to play on the German server, that will be up to you.

well i signed up at gamigo with an account that already exists on the int. server. That - and that the german guy told me that he cant login to the server with his new account - led me to the conclusion that its not working as you suggest.

but before i jump the gun, i will make a complete new account on gamigo and then i will try to log in to Ra. I gonna report back soon.

What do i get when im not able to login with the new accout?

some friends of mine tried to become regnum players. they say, they still cant play, and they think it has to do with the forced re something. Maybe the way u do it could be better. after all works, then force redir, or so, what u think?

niclam, in Switzerland people speak either German, French or Italian... it's not an exclusively german-speaking country. I'm not sure it's a good idea that the Swiss would be redirected to as of now, because half of them won't understand a single word on the page they are be redirected to (let them choose, or ask their native language before).

Yes, users registered through Gamigo cannot play still but we are in the process of setting up the new world, so hopefully next week you will be able to.

Magnet, you have a valid point, we need to discuss this with our partner and see what we can do.

Its not working, contrary to your earlier statement, or as Chillko wrote on the big news on the frontpage
