Amun down (17/06/2012) - Availability confirmation please

Amun has been down for a good few days now and at a most inopportune time for me, as I need to test something in regard to the premium store before I actually purchase anything on the live servers.

Naturally my question is; When can we expect Amun to be back online?

I am curious. What kind of test do you need to run? Amun is not meant to test the premium content. I don't understand what you need to test

A lot of people (myself included) use Amun to test premium content out before we actually purchase it. How mounts look, what certain armors look like with certain dyes, item box results, stuff like that.

I think Psynocide speaks about some kind of customization items Sometimes it is really better to have a live preview before buy something. Or you may have couple of unused premium items.

Amun is the best way for it. Even if server was planned for gameplay tests.

I don't understand why this surprise you.

Building upon what others have said above; specifically I want to test how dyes work alongside item fusing, as normally you never can tell exactly what colour you're going to get when fusing.

Edit: Shameless plug here, but would you consider adding a preview feature for buying certain premium items such as hair dyes? As it's difficult to discern what you're going to get and it would remove the necessity for testing these things on the test server.

Amun is the right place to test out premium items like dyes, costumes, equipment, mounts, etc.

I'm wondering why Chilko don't understand that the users will test the premium items before purchasing it at a live server. It's a test server, I don't understand where is the problem.

I think that the preview of dyes, costumes and mounts are not helpful in the current form.

Especially dyes looks mostly different on equipment or costumes, because it's not opaque. It depends of the "background" color of the equipment or costume they have themselves.
One costume will looks great on a Nordo/Esquelio/Alturian at the preview but looks horrible on other races.

Reducing premium item tests on Amun is quite simple:
Add a better, great live preview function at the premium shop for dyes, costumes and mounts. Don't forget the random variations of some costumes .
