RvR Tournament Event

The RvR tournament was a great idea, and I'm sure everyone had a lot of fun yesterday. Thanks to the GMs holding this event, and congratulations to Syrtis on their victory.
Alsius have been complaining a lot, saying Syrtis and Ignis were ganging up on them, but it wasn't the case from what I saw on the live stream. Syrtis watched Alsius and Ignis rush each other, waited for one realm to suffer enough causalities then took out the rest. Pretty clever, but defeats the whole purpose of 4v4v4 imo.

Anyway, the idea of this post is to say I'd really love to see more of this, but perhaps it might be better to circulate the fights so it's always just 4v4 instead of 3 realms in the same pit. Having a 3 way sounds like more fun, but let's be honest, Alsius and Ignis are always going to go for each others throats first (on Haven anyway).

Once again, thanks for the awesome event. It really shows you thought about Haven's population, and gave anybody regardless of any factors the ability to enter the tournament.

Yes, it was great.
And u are wrong it was clearly 8vs4, syrtis was waiting but when they rushed they simply helped ignis and they didn't hit each other.

I was there, and fight was pretty shit, and this what happnened :
Ignis started the fight and rushed alsius, when we were fighing syrtis rushed from behind and started hitting only alsius, i killed one barb and conju (ignis) and sir gauto killed the other barb (ignis) and get killed by syrtis.

the fight started to be running around, because we were out from mana, both knight from ignis & syrtis were focusing our conju, i was trying to help the conju killed that archer and he get rezed.

our conju died , i died, the fem died.

Don't say BS, we were not complaining for nothing, because we warned GMs that this will happen, and we said better realmVSrealm which is fair.

Anyway i liked a lot this event.

Even if we say that what u wrote is true, waiting alsius to kill 3 ignis then starting fight 5syrtignisvs3alsius out of mana isn't fair too.

I want to see 3 rounds next time: Syrtis vs. Ignis, Alsius vs. Ignis, Syrtis vs. Alsius :> imo 4v4v4 in the current state of the server isn't the best solution.

I was agreeing with you in my OP that it wasn't fair, which is why I'm suggesting we have 4v4 next time. See Sentan's comment for how it should work.

Anyway, I remember Mere hitting Alinoe when she was low on hp.

They were just waiting to achieve advantage over other teams. I know it might look a bit cowardish, but on the other hand the other two teams were somehow better suited for this. Especially syrtis was there with lvl53 hunter, and no banner(I remember other teams had).

Edit: And yes, I guess 3way tournament will almost always result in something similar like we saw yesterday.

Syrtis played smart considering what they had. They left the Ignis knight to help them because it would be stupid to attack a lone knight when there was still an Alsius conjurer, barb and knight running around. I guess Alsius are pretty sore about losing and saw it as a personal attack. Even Ignis was congratulating Syrtis, and they died first.

Sounds as a good event. Pitty i was whole day at work. How does this event works? At event post on forum i find nothing about it. Was it some kind of deathmatch? Have somebody some link to video from it?

First there was a find the GM in the wz event. After four rounds, the people who found the GM first were entered into the tournament (they also won some minor prizes).
After four players in each realm had won they were teleported to an island to do battle in a 4v4v4 match. Last realm standing won the epic prize which included:
- Perm white lion mount
- x2 diamond lucky boxes
- x5 duel banners
- Power set tome
- Power set

If you're on facebook, you should go follow the GM pages (Humulus Regnum, Tolos Regnum, Nemus Regnum). They'll keep you up to date with the stuff going on in game, and there's been a few nice little goodies lately
