Hi Nodalor,

The tracert ip address wouldn't solve the problem but only identify if there is a problem and which portion of the link is having an issue. tracert and netstat are tools to use in diagnosing issues not really resolution tools.
Froste, please correct me if I'm wrong... |

I ran a tracrt, and then I go to the website so that my pc is still connected to that ip. It's been working much better for me. It still happens, though not as often.
It might be firewall but I don't have the privileges to take it all the way down so I have to be creative.

Because you say you have got no Router, your PC seems to be the Router.
So i think you have got a a)DSL Card in your Laptop b)Analog Modem c)Playing from the University Place for a) You have to share the Port of your Firewall. Under Windows there are some strange Behaviours with Firewall Software, so disable that. for b) See a) for c) Ask the Admin of the University bye |

I've been getting kicked as well often off of the Ra International server (but strangely not off of the experimental). I tried the traceroute on mine computer to the regnum IP, and it first popped up with my address then the following
3 * * * 4 * * * 5 * * * 6 * * * . . . 28 * * * 29 * * * 30 * * * Is this a bad sign? What's wrong with my connection? Strangely I can play on both servers, though only for a few minutes on the international one and indefinitely on the experimental one (though it does kick me after some time). However in both I can receive data on the landscapes, but I can't interact with my surroundings. For instance when I talked to the first person I see with an ! over their head, I try to talk to them and it keeps saying "You are too far away." Could this also be related to my connection problem? |
