Quote:
# xorg.conf (X.Org X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the xorg.conf manual page.
# (Type "man xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following command:
# sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

Hello. It seems to be a problem with the texture compression library. I had a similar problem in my Aspire One (which uses intel, but also the same S3TC lib) and solved it. Maybe this will work:

(32 bit system)
wget http://debian-multimedia.org/pool/ma...8-0.1_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i libtxc-dxtn0_0.070518-0.1_i386.deb
rm libtxc-dxtn0_0.070518-0.1_i386.deb

(64 bit system)
wget http://debian-multimedia.org/pool/ma...-0.1_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i libtxc-dxtn0_0.070518-0.1_amd64.deb
rm libtxc-dxtn0_0.070518-0.1_amd64.deb

You can enable S3TC textures with driconf. It's on the repos, so a "sudo apt-get install driconf" will do the trick. Run it, then enable the textures.
