Poll: opinions on the transfer idea.

The big issue here is (and has always been) "Creating new content before fixing what's wrong with what we already have". It's not a complain because I do understand the need of releasing new content in order to bring/keep players. So, I cannot expect NGD (RO developing team [aka Adrian]) to focus on merging/transfering when I know they are focused on vigilance towers right now. I was hoping for towers to be released on amun by the end of November, and at the same time (last week of November) the so called poll would appear in the forum. That way NGD would have all December to think about/analize our opinions. But then again, Adrian has to ("must") bring us a christmas event, if no forum is going to be full of babies crying. Too many things to do for one single human being. All these problems could be solved faster if NGD was to invest more personnel in the RO project :c So far, there is no other option but to wait.

First of all , the poll will be ingame. Second, NGD is looking for a new developer, but it is not as easy as you think. If they did not find an "old" regnum programmer who knows how it works, adrian has to "support" the new one and show him everythink what happend in the last 11 years..... i think that is not very helpful if we do only have adrian...

One question to the threat: You all talk about haven, but what about val? WIll we also get the poll or is this only a solution for haven atm?

Adrian will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong on any point here. AFAIK, the poll will be ingame as Alamar pointed out & is for all 3 remaining CoR servers (tho I'm uncertain just what exact form it will take). From what little that has been said, it stands to reason that the following seems to follow:

There will not be open servers, that all may choose where to play on an ongoing basis. It will not include any choice to merge any server with any other. It will instead be a matter of transferring our Haven/Valhalla accounts to Ra. It may also include the choice option for Ra toons to transfer to Haven or Valhalla.

The crux of it all will hinge on asking us players whether (or not) to even allow these transfers, & just how they will occur if they are permitted: the exact particulars & conditions of it all, the limitations, restrictions, costs (if any), etc, etc.

Since Ra has far more active population than Haven & Valhalla do even combined, then yes, the non-Ra segment of the playerbase will inevitably be marginalized in this poll, as we just don't have anywhere near as many votes as the Ra-caucus does. Nothing for it; it is what it is; c'est la vie, c'est la mort....

Adrian said in other threats, if the poll is coming, every server will get his own! So there is no marginalization of val/haven. Besides it would be a very stupid poll^^

If u read the threat Lebeau u can see that nobody talks about val (neither Adrian). I am not sure if "we" are here included

Would it now? ... The point I was making is this: if the Ra playerbase doesn't want ppl transferring from Haven/Valhalla over to Ra, then it just won't happen, & it won't matter at all wtf those on Haven/Valhalla want & vote for ... simple as that ... it is wtf it is....

This is not about what Ra players want or not. That has nothing to do with the transfers.
Its about us - Haven/Val players and a chance for US to join the only server with real action.

We told you that before Christmas we'll make the poll and it will be done. The transfers will surely be open after that poll (this time we will have to add a new functionality for Clans, basically when a Founder moves to another server, the clan and all the members are copied in a list and if those members move to the same server, they are instantly added to the clan with the same privileges).

The decision has been made and only can be reverted with the poll's result, that we all already know, but just to be sure and give everyone the chance to state their choice.

So, I'm just repeating what I said before. Please wait until after Christmas to give up on this, ok?

Curious what happens when a clan leader is perma banned with that, sent a ticket today if the leadership can be somehow transfered.

My body is ready. Also hope you allow Ra clans to have added space to invite characters from Haven. Our Ra clan is only lvl 6 :/
