I think the best thing NGD could do would be to lower the levelling curve, so they can concentrate on balance issues without worrying about grinding.
I mean, this is a RvR game, grinding is something most people do not want to do anyway, it turns many new players away from this game, and now it even complicates balance issues.

As for nerfing SM, yes i agree that mages should derive their DPS from spells, not staff ... The problem with spells is most high DPS spells have huge cooldown and mana cost, so if the spell gets resisted/evaded you lose both mana and cooldown. When you rely on weapons (including staff) you don't have these problems, which is why so many mages use SM. If the spells were more reliable, i would fully agree with slightly nerfing staff mastery.
Also, the recent nerf of MC basically encourages more Conjus to become Warjurers, so i think you will see more of them in the future.

Well that is my first post on this forum.

We should accept how is difficult to multiplex skills/mana/power on all class in a game providing 3 class and 6 subclass characters. But you are right in some points and for example I can tell you with Fregan (warlock level 43) I can pwn some level 50 both class and with my barb (Tigerious level 45) I can't get any char level 50. So I think there is a real problem to have a fair fights actually in this game. Add to this the luck (resists/evade/blocks) and items providing god power. I'm not an old player but when I see how the war changed in horus just boring me. Why after the update many mages born and spam their fucking sultar to get back a fort ? They all use sm to get door down faster than barbs....
Well for example I can target Beijing or Plunder iggies :
- Beijing : have zarkit do around 250-300 damages + his sm doing around 500 damages
- Plunder : have a crazy cast bonus and doing sultar instantly

I would know what item give them this godness power !
I don't see any mages in alsius doing theses hell damages.

we only spam sultar coz we have alot of locks and you all stand there on the top waiting for it =P
but yeah, i agree with AWD, leave it for grinding but have some sort of nerf in the wz
