So you're making an english speaking linux driven clan for alsius. that's great. Even the alsius should have one. But you call it Team America? Because you know there is actually a world outside the US of A where people do speak english and use linux. Just an idea. Do you want an linux clan or an american clan?

Wasn't "Team America" the name of a comic?

Doesn't have to do anything with Linux yet. If you want international Linux users to join you, they have to somehow understand that your an international linux clan don't they? So knowing idiotic comic series is now required general knowledge for the whole world? I don't think so. The implication remains. <sarcasm> great lyric, now I understand why you want this piece of art as an inspiration for your clan. </sarcasm> |

You sir fail at the internet. It's named after a movie I found to be funny. If the clan name was The Matrix or Fantastic four would I also be denying the international Linux users? No, good sir, using such logic is rubbish.

actually I don't and I never said you are denying anyone. try and read again:
people will not recognize you as a linux clan. they won't recognize you as an international clan. because nothing in the name suggest linux and nothing suggest international. nothing suggests anything regnum related either. it just suggest that you liked a film. so if you want a clan for people who like the film, you're all set. if you don't, your just wasting the most powerful tool: the name now that you probably understood what i was commenting go on and found your clan. good luck with that. |

Please sir go back and re-read this thread. Everyone else got the joke and as expected we traded jokes in our own nerd lingo. Consider it a litmus test if you will.

It's the users who need the clans not the clans that need the users. Your totally right. That's why users would never make their own clan. They depend on the existing ones. Last time I checked actually good players were a rare. |
