you cant expect to survive in the middle of the enemy very long when you are alone.
Either you signalize that you are about to rush and others follow you (timing)
or you cast AoO, rush in, beat up some mages, let them panic and get back behind friendly lines in time (knowing your limits)

the latter one requires some experience and you have to hope for not being mind squashed or soulkeepered.

A headless rush helps noone (grimbald )
with proper support from the backrows a rush can work very well, but never rely on that!

I very much agree on this one. On some MMORPGs they have much much more emoticons and exclusive shortcut keys for them. Right now we're limited to a few actions and have to use the quickbar or action window to access them.

Although I don't want Regnum to turn out comical with emoticons that pop out as dialog balloons over their heads. Maybe some preset text or actions can be brought up by pressing certain hotkeys instead.

I'd like to see more allies using protection dome without complaining about being slowed down. Its the mayor defense against the terror knockdown and most of you have staff mastery high enough for mana communion anyways. So pls use that aura, too.

Of course this does not apply to my enemies. Dont cast that spell, its completely useless and will elongate your lifespan only for seconds...

Hehe, I like Protection Dome. At lvl 37, I have it at lvl 4. I think there are not really many situations to use it well though. If the enemy is charging and your allies are trying to hold it off, it can be really helpful to use Protection Dome; however, if your Allies were about to fall back, you might get screwed. It can also help when pushing into the enemy Fort Door.

Thing is... I'm not positive but I think Protection Dome aggro's the enemy if you use it (especially a lot). It's just a huge ball that is so easy to notice. It's like a big sign saying 'Attack me after this spell wears off!' XD In this one battle where Ignis was holding Herbred, I used it everytime Ignis initiated one of their Sultar chain pushes with their Warriors rushing. We were able to hold off on quite a few of those pushes but then I started taking constant focus fire, especially during their next few pushes. By then though, I think Syrtis gathered enough forces to take back Herbred.

One thing I really like about Protection Dome is that it lasts 1 minute and has a 1.5 minute cooldown, which is really nice. If the positioning is okay, you can alternate or stack it with Greater Healing.

I remeber 30s duration, but that doesnt matter, cooldown ratio is fine. And I see wide possibility of application since you yourself can always escape in sanctuary (though at lvl37 you maybe lack the necessary skillpoints to have dome & sanct). It gives you the power to cover your allies asses while they are retreating - effect of lightning arrow, caltrops arrow or the single immobilize skills is, well, cut down by 50% in effectiveness.

I think i noticed an increase in aggressiveness, too. But maybe thats due to the change of animations with mana pylon: The pylon has no effect on the caster so he stays easy target. Actually a lot of skills are cast on me when I use the dome which is obviously a bad choice to counter it (at least worse than normal attacks from archers...).

Yeah, at 37, I don't have any points in Sorcery. Wish I could at least get Mind Blank XD Ah well...

If you really want to remove the Protection Dome from yourself, you can always do a Change Char / Logout and then Cancel it or you could also remove it by using the current Dispel on yourself if you have it. Still, I don't like to waste Spells in the first place mainly due to the cooldowns (and sometimes the Mana costs). For instance, if you cast Dome too early and your Allies start pushing, you will run too slow and might not be able to cover the guys in the front. Sure you could remove the Spell through the Logout thing (or Dispel) to allow you to catch up to your Allies, but then Dome is still wasted and on cooldown. I rather just wait for the push and run up and cast it (I'll aggro the enemy though) or use it right as the enemy makes a push on us as we're holding off. Sometimes I'll just use it if we're taking too much pressure. Gotta love that 90s cooldown, it makes it so much more flexible (even with the Movement speed penalty).

You are describing an exploit here (abusing the anti-sanctuary while log out system). I just hope you are aware of it...

PS: feel like Protection dome would be enable/disable

EDIT: fixed my error, thanks blood
