I did use SOTW. It was a very long fight, the combat log was a lot longer than would fit in one screen shot.

The fight started out with me confusing him (lvl 4), going SOTW and killing his zarkit, then sudden striking Axe and shifting my focus back onto him.

My Acrobat lvl 5 and Spell elude lvl 5 both ran out toward the end of the fight, that's how long a fight it was. BTW, this is another one of those "Didn't evade anything" bad luck fights.

He says that a hunter should be able to kill a conjurer with a staff mastery setup, such as the one you fought. If you can't do it, you're a bad hunter.

Though I'm pretty sure you got the gist of it anyway

Hmmm: 300+ hp fast base attacks, Zarkit with 300+ hp base attack, self heal, shield....yes- sounds very easy to beat.
