English player consolidation on RA - Page 2

Merging clans is a good idea....voice chat isn't realistic for some (myself I have small children sleeping when I play and I share an office with my wife). I'm quite sure that I'll merge PERL with one of the existing alsius clans; however, Alsius Hunters will stay AS-IS.

AWD: I think the Alsius Hunters will stay in one group because of their specific purpose.

I think that clans need to form a new goal in order to continue at Ra. Before Horus their goal was to guide new players into the warzone and make them productive fighters for their realm. Now I think the main purpose should be to be a home for the remaining English players at Ra. Make sure they won't get lost in the relatively fast growing Spanish community and have a home. To do this I think a merge between a few clans can be useful. However, I don't think that all clans should be merged into one.

I think I should opt for something that also works with Linux, Like Mumble or TeamSpeak. I would prefer Mumble.

Alsius Hunters has a very specific purpose for the alsius realm and we are TIGHTLY tied into other clans. The purpose of this clan is protection from invaders for our levelers. And as a clan of pure hunters we have the ability to:

1. Set-up ambush on well traveled paths
2. Search and destroy invaders
3. Move quickly from point to point to keep invaders "guessing"

So far we have been very effective and have actually forced many people to choose new hunting paths and have deterred many from coming back (many have decided feck it and went to ignis).

Rarely will you find an Alsius Hunter...hunting in another realm. We'll only do this if we can't find an enemy within our realm.

Now, saying that....the other clan I am in PERL...will merge with others.

Ignis doesn't seem to have this problem, as far as I can visibly see, the legends are the only dominant English clan around (that I know of) most others have either left for horus or vanished completely...

Really try mumble, its the best i found out there.

I agree with blood, ive tried xfire, teamspeak, Ventrillo and mumble.

Mumble is by far the best choice out there
