Cant get onto the game. I get up to the bit where it shows the NGD logo, then it goes all flashy. I mean, epileptic flashy. I have the downloading bar in the top left which is slowly loading now (new?) Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I've unchecked but my client keeps on crashing and I think this is because of lack of resources that didn't get downloaded. "Resource download system enhanced" fails.

If you haven't already switch to safe mode.

I sometimes have that with my graphics card (Nvidia 9500 GS, I think). I doesn't like RO very much, I blame Vista myself (superfetch ate my hard drive in Jan while running RO).

Hope this completely random ramble helps.

Edit: Just logging in on my fancy laptop and experiencing exactly what you describe - the resources are loading though, if you bear with it the char page loads (I did switch off loading all the resources at once though).

Well...i have windows xp sp3 and i cant play since the update!

I get in the game, but as soon as i see my char to start moving, i crash and get error message!

ive crashed 3 times here, randomly i assume, and one of my friends was getting kicked every few minutes..

now i know NGD works hard at this game..but amun wasnt even up for anyone to even test these features and offer feedback/bug reports before they went "live" and that honestly shouldnt have been something done.

i appreciate the new features but, i think it was a bit rushed because of these issues when it could have been avoided.

Current issues I've found -

1. My hat has a broken texture now
2. I randomly crash (especially in town)
3. Randomly NPC don't show, even though their name is available with V

I suppose this could all be down to corrupt resources? Maybe the downloader has a few issues?

I agree, this should have been tested on Amun first. I was impatient to have this new update up, but I knew it would be better in the long run to wait. I have no idea why they didnt test on Amun first...
Update: I can now get onto the game, I have crashed four times but thats stopped now. Various bits of the land are missing, and the resources are downloading up to 99%, but will not advance any further.

this is pathetic, ive crashed now 8 times, and when an enemy comes on screen its a total freeze of game, and then only unfreezes when im dead.

sorry to say but NGD really screwed up here.

It took a good long while to get all the resources loaded. Each time I log on seems there are more resources. I have been able to get into the game a few times, finally, but crash after a minute or two. And I keep crashing.

And yes, the range for summons is pathetic. Used to be I would double-click a mob, my summon would begin to attack it, then I would move away and single-click target another mob. I'd get twice as many mobs slain that way. Now that's all changed. While the life and mana bar for the summon is great, and the command buttons a good idea, it takes a bit more to get the summon going. And once he is, I can't seem to move more than 25 or 30 meters away. This is annoying, but not the worst thing.

One last comment: the lag in alsius initiation zone is extreme. On the upside, the area is gorgeous! The movement of sails, banners, flags, the new landscape, it's all very nicely done. I made a level 1 character and went off to explore the zone.

Trouble? I crashed. I keep crashing. A minute or three in-game, then CRASH.
