Now, I have tried couple of benchmarks.
First, I ran Heaven Benchmark v2.1 to test DirectX 11. Graphics was max 69C, cores around ~55C.
Then, I ran FurMark for gfx and I let it to go to 80C (when OS restarted while RO was on (but DX, not OpenGL), it was 72C).
And after that, I ran prime95 to test CPU and it went to 76C (3 rounds of tests, then I stopped).
So, I loaded every part and it didn't crash OS or anything. It seems Regnum is one tough benchmark. :P
It might be PSU, maybe combo of CPU/GPU. Maybe I should try with some heavy game and see if same happens. But so far, only with Regnum PC restarts, which confuses me. I also tried OpenGL, shader 4, all max (except weather and weapon trails). It worked stable though FPS was 50-65.

Tomorrow we ll do in store 3DMark. I also found that enabling SATA AHCI mode for SATA 2, crashes OS login window. So it offered me recovery fix etc but no changes. Might be hdd too?? (it's WD Black edition SATA II 7200 32MB, 640GB)
I am still not sure why OS restarts with Regnum on. Thanks all for help, especially to Mira who was helping me all day about this. <3 If anyone has any other idea/theory, I would be thankful. And by the way, event logs say all the same:

@Uma: I was little on today, as soon as I fix this, you ll see me very often I hope :P
My gtx260 gets to 70ºC while playing so don't worry, those temperatures are normal.

One of my clannmates had a similar problem with a 9 series card (he's Chiquitico in the forums, but only speaks spanish), I'll ask him, but I think he solved the problem installing older drivers....

Talked to Chiquitico, he solved his problem by reinstalling Windows , updating drivers to the latest version and also he updated Directx.

I've noticed you have the 64 bits version of Windows 7, maybe there's the problem. Be absolutely shure you have installed the 64 bits version of your video card drivers, and also try to download the game installer again, if you have an old one don't use it, download the latest.

I've read a thread where some guy couldn't start the game in Windows 7 64bits, he solved his problem by downloading the latest installer and installing regnum in a different partition. I don't think that has anything to do with your problem , but you don't loose anything by trying.

If you ever reinstall windows, try to install the 32 bits version unless you really need to have the 64 bit version. If you installed this version only because you have 4gb of ram go for the 32 bit version, Windows 7 enables PAE automatically if your computer has hardware-enabled DEP (which I think yours does) so you can address all your RAM. I have Windows 7 32bits and 4gb of RAM and it goes just fine, and you won't have to worry about some compatibility issues.

And even without PAE, with 4gb of Ram, I would install a 32bit OS. Some people may disagree with this, but all depends on your needs and what apps you use. Maybe you never use more than 2gb or 3gb of RAM, or maybe you use only 32bit apps (32bit apps run faster in 32bit OS that in 64bit OS...and most applications are 32bit).

Regards

Yes, we reinstalled in the store to 32 bits and ran 3D Mark Vantage. I also ran it today at home with High and with Extreme settings. Everything went just fine, no restart or anything. But when running Regnum, PC reboots. I also tried reinstalling it to other partition and still no luck. One fan on back is added and temperatures are fine.

So I think it might be issue Regnum-Windows 7 related. Before I decide to reinstall to Vista and try, I will find some heavy game and run in full details to see if restart will happen. If not, then I think it is really up to Regnum.

I really wish there is a Linux driver for my gfx released... :\ But last time we checked, Kubuntu couldn't detect proprietary drivers for my card, and other Nvidia users say NO to drivers on Nvidia site..

Let's say solution I applied was "compromise" by lowering details and switching to shader 3. Performance is great and I didn't loose much of a shiny RO look (that I can finally see after many years \o/ ).

It doesn't mean that I gave up on finding out why RO on max settings restarts PC :P If I make any progress regarding that, it will be posted here.
Once again, thanks all for suggestions and tips.

There is linux driver on NVidia site. Latest one supports 460 cards. I still think it is driver or power supply. Maybe on full details cards starts to use more power and this makes system unstable.

Yes but driver from site requires to watch out about which Kernel you use, plus I ve read few problems with installing it and what happens when you restart PC after installation.

There is a driver in one ppa on Launchpad (SWAT?). I will give it a try these days, just out of curiosity. Now only NGD to sort out OpenGL performance in RO...

What about starting Regnum in compability mode XP SP3?
Maybe that could solve the problem with restarting?
Just a guess, I'm not a crack

I didn't try to decrease shader to 2, like suggested in some other thread. Usually one core goes 90% when Regnum is running, always free 2GB RAM and FPS in game is 240-260. Regnum is configured in Firewall system.

Computer info:
Intel i5 760 (2.8GHz)
GTX 460 + latest drivers from Nvidia site
4GB RAM 1600MHz
Windows 7 64bit

Thanks in advance.
Same troble here under Windows 7..but after activated him no more crashes(random reboots)...for unknow reasons...
This troble apear under windows 7 on diferent builds. In some builds work fine and also system will reboot in anothers games too.
Wtv activation solved my troble.
Also be carefull what you doo, sometimes Win 7 will "hide" some partion and you will not be able to see them only after total format of your HDD.(lots of my friends had this troble). So better make back up of you important data.(like this i lost damn 3 months of play Ghotic 3,and another games grrrr).

Will try.
Little update: I am atm using shader 4, medium/high mix of settings, and so far works (playing like that 2 weeks already). I ll try later again max settings and compatibility/run as admin options.

Thank you, I ll try.

Also tried Crysis: Warhead, works smooth and nice. So now I think again its RO fault somewhere or Win7 vs games (it has problems with some that worked on XP/Vista)..

Sorry not told all...for not genuine WIn 7 will reboot random after one time...even on desktop...i think is build in feature for non-genuine copy of Win 7..at least like this was at me...watever i am not sure for my arguments...and you are right can be something rong in RO.(after this lots of reboots managed to go back for WIn vista, even is slower but at least was stable and not random reboots.)
