a few thoughts on disadvantages in case if cash is forbidden:
• if cash money is completly forbidden, it's much easier for banks to produce money out from nothing. Not nearly every money which exists on paper exists in reality. • also it's much easier to destroy so called "terrorists" like Julian Assange economically or "terrorist"-organisations • tracking of payments is much easier for government authorities Every point of above, can also seen as advantage for certain people like governments, banks, etc. Maybe I forgot some important points? Mhm I think one reason for the financial crisis was because many credit card owners were not able to pay back their huge depts, but there were also other reasons. Where I am from, most people pay via cash; at least there where it is possible. |

Bullcrap. It's actually so much easier to rob virtual accounts, hack them and delete all your data with one click.
Drug traders do very well with virtual cash. "if cash money is completly forbidden, it's much easier for banks to produce money out from nothing. Not nearly every money which exists on paper exists in reality." it's actually the case for many years now, we're producing billions of money as credits. Also all american money (like, a dollar) says it's just a substitute for real money. In this case, I wonder, what is real money?

I think cash is real money. It can only loose it's worth through devaluation or Inflation but it is still there if banks become bankrupt. |

I think gold is the real money, cash can inflate and lose worth against other currencies, gold will be always same.

yeah right. Gold and silver will probably keep it's worth and all or most currencies devaluate. Thats one good reason why gold and silver price is increasing almost every month. Maybe this development will be the same for the next few years, we will see. I have a few gold and silver savings.

Didn't about all countries drop gold as standard for the value of money many years ago?
