for one, getting capturable forts back, would give some "target" - milestone to accomplish. many players/humans/androids are driven by "targets" to reach. in this case it would be getting enemies out of aggersborg. in case of oc/market camping parties, its bit harder, because you don't have clear target to reach. when you have dealt with situation? when last fleeing runner crosses bridge? when he merges with the zerg coming back and you get killed? when you realise, that he or she is on maxspeed and you wont be able to reach him/her?
but adressing wes "the real question", i think that alsians are kind of assuming role of being oppressed. perhaps like the woman, who get beaten up by their partners, but still live with them. as time passes this model is harder and harder to break out of and new people get "adjusted" to it even unwillingly. now even with all the growth we are experienceing, its hard to shift from this model "we are underpopulated", and there is not so many "we are awesome at this" things that can be done in ro world. |

As to why Alsius doesn't like to war.. I've been asking myself the same question. It seems we need the right people on if we want to have a good fight.. but otherwise (save/market camping aside) it's just us being beaten into submission via Aggs. I do believe everyone's had this underpopulation mentality for a while but we're not so underpopulated anymore. It's just quite a few of our players have no idea what they're doing half the time in war.. Quote:

Wow, that is a lot to respond too. So I just touch on main points. I did say SOME alsius were doing those tatics. Perhaps you are one of them.
I totally think it crappy as hell having these immune forts. I see many folks making "i quit" threads. This makes me want to help Alsius, just for the simple fact I do not want you all quitting. I think its fun fighting the other two realms regardless of what tatics they use. We elves will always find a way to play too. I guess as far as coming to help at save, then after Ignis is dead we attack you....you got me there. You think its crappy, but I know if we just turned and ran, there would be several noobs chasing us and killing us off 1 by 1. My main point however stands true. You are getting camped because you don't take enough forts and folks are just trying to get quests done and make war. I have played many times when both Ignis and Alsius had us outnumbered badly. We just grouped up and turned to "hit and run" tatics and bridge camping to compensate for the lack of allies. I applaud all Alsius who keep playing...it truley shows your dedication. |

I think you guys are trying. I saw last evening (my time) a band of Alsius moving from fort to fort and making a nuisance of themselves there and at bridges.
I was quite heartened by this and applaud the effort even though the army was more a mercenary size than a zerg type. Still, I think it should be mentioned as a positive step.Importantly, that group was effective. Hopefully, this would encourage some of the other junior members of the realm (who have a lot of heart and determination in my view) to press forward with the senior ones that are making an effort. Hopefully you can keep it going and grow a cohesive army to wreak havoc in multiple time zones. Best of luck guys, we need an active and strong Alsius to make this thing work. Art. |

You can build the most hardcore group of ten people but it doesn't mean you'll win against the regular 20 or 30 enemies. |

Van, could you please just fuck off from alsius population related topics? If you check the forum you'd see we lost knekel, jacque, immune, ultimate, klutu(temp though), and I know a few others, ARES, ellokeim, healerous....

More often than not I don't talk about your population, but your character. Alsius as a realm is their own greatest enemy, not numbers, not the distance to enemy castles, not grinder gankers or save campers. There have been similar situations for both your realm and others in the past, and the only difference is the amount of crying on the forum. People come, people go, numbers change. Man the fuck up and just play the game. |
