The problem is that warlocks still have the same lvl37 spells that they had before warmasters. They still have the same dmg like a lvl37 player... After warmasters every class got better armor, bigger hp, +2000 hp beacons(!), and have access to a setup with more defense. This is a drastically defense increasing while warlocks still have lvl37 spells without boosts.

Other classes got better weapon, got enough power points to maximize their damage, archers have magical arrows now, +15% dex bonus, warriors can walk around with 2x +7% attack speed gem.

Warlocks second strongness were the CC spells, Sultar's Terror, Master of Doom, etc. Terror nerfed (useless now), others spells are countered with offensive beacons easly. Basicaly there aren't a good warlock spell now except darkness and slow...

In RvR warlocks can't kill anybody alone, just try it out, 6000-7000 hp with high armor, defense buffs, you need to use lighting+iceblast at least twice but you don't have 30s in RvR... Barbarians kill you in 4 secs, Marksmen from 52m range can shoot you with dmg what you can never have as a warlock.

Why it is boring? hm, I think I heard a thing it's called Beacons.YOU Warlocks can cast Darkness which can disable anyone up to 40s. MoD with Barbs and knights protecting you...
Sure Warlocks may can do nothing before door is down. If the enemy group doesnt use beacons, you don't have to complain about anything.
At Herb you said, Warlocks damage is like Mosquito bite, that is because Knights has auras or an archer casts Retaliation.

From this vid, at Samal, I only see how organized Ignis are and how many listen to others and not rush like idiots and they rage at CS because no one heals.

How does Darkness disable someone .. If not, Darkness is even the most fair spell in game (joke incoming) you can't play with a conj, well he can't heal you. you won't run away like a chicken, if it would let buffs through (not talking about sotw, low profile, escapist) it would defenitely be the most fair spell ever.

Really, how is Darkness SOOO op?

How is that trolling? I'm saying nothing about your gameplay, just pointing out the irony of raging about Tigerious having DI, horn, and beacons... when you yourself had all of the above just shortly before he killed you. In your shoes, I would run back from the save after dying, instead of making a rage video like a butthurt little kid.

Darkness is ok as spell and effect. Duration is the real problem. If it is 20s at level 5 as it is with Confuse noyone will say a thing. We all know how long it takes for lock to kill in 1v1. We all know how long it takes darknessed target to die in RvR. 40s duration is what makes Darkness OP.

Who in the right mind would skill darkness at lvl 5 (being 40s)? after the cc duration nerf, we barely have enough points for all the areas. I wonder what kind of setup it is for u to use lvl 5 darkness. In my current setup, I can only use darkness lvl 1 and slow lvl 1. compare the duration of darkness to that of DI and compare the cd of darkness to that of DI. 80% warlocks can't even cast darkness because enemy already have DI on. besides, the range of darkness is range 20 with 2 sec cast. We'd be lucky if we don't lose our lives first in RvR situation. Seriously, any warlock with a brain would not put 5 points on a spell with 2min. cd and 20 range and 2 sec cast and can be blocked by Divine Intervention. and yet I see many ppl complain about it? give warlocks a break will ya? however, I do agree it is kind of annoying when ur the victim but mage can still cast timemaster, freeze and other ccs that can't otherwise be used under confuse effect. Conju can still heal allies tho not urself. keep in mind that 1 warlock can only use darkness on 1 single target every 2 min (120 sec) ok? and 90% of the time if there are multiple conjus in a zerg they would DI each other to protect themselves from such spells. you guys wanna talk about OPness fine ! I think sotw is op on marks. I think camo + confuse + sotw is op on hunter. I think barb with DI is op. just a sidenote, how did marks end up having all the defense buffs that a hunter have and on top of that strategic position and insane dmg. It is an offensive class right? How come it's got more armor buff than defensive class hunter? wtf is going on? should warlock have mindblank just to make it fair? I'm just saying. The so-called balance is really fucked up right now.

I know at least 3 locks which use Darkness(5), Cremate(5), Time Master(5), Frozen Storm(5), Twister(5) and etc stuff. I see them primarily when someone gets desperate to regain his fort. Mainly they are goats. Well this are not war active chars tho...

I will be pretty happy with DI which have cd = diration too.

IMO it's pointless to cast Darkness (5) on a conju or any other class for that matter. there are only 2 things that's gonna happen to the guy in a zerg. either he runs away under zerg's cover or he gets ganked and die in less than 10 sec.
unless the warlock really hates somebody and wants to annoy the shit out of him lol lvl 5 is totally unecessary...and wow lvl 5 cremate...no words. tbh, I've never seen a lock cremate somebody in a fort war...usage of that spell is very limited and definitely not worth 5 points. I do often get cremated (lvl5) by Brutal Hullucination (Alsius) when I hunt alone inside alsius and get ganked by a zerg on aggy road. He would always come up to me after im dead and cremate. Seriously, I am going to press the rez button one way or another cuz I am alone. what's with him and cremate? That guy is so damn funny.

I find 20 seconds of darkness to be too short. I'm currently skilled with darkness(3) and considering scraping up 2 extra points somewhere to take it to 5 as I'm finding 30 seconds to not be long enough too.

Please do not compare Darkness to Confuse. They are two totally different spells with different Pro's and Con's.

A warlocks primary source of damage output is his DoT's and a warlocks has to cast those same set of DoT's two or three times in order to kill an enemy. Without darkness our DoT's get instantly dispelled due to the obvious animation of skills like Lightning and Soulkeeper. To add to that, covering your DoT's with a freeze is not as reliable on Haven and it was on Raven due to the amount of beacons used. Aside from that, it is blocked my Divine Intervention and if the enemy you cast darkness on is smart, he will run out of range as soon as he see's it hit him making you waste a 2 minute cooldown spell.

On topic: I don't see the point of this video. Barbs run through an entire Alsius zerg in order to kill me hiding right at the back on a daily basis. Warlocks are just easy RP for Barbs in RvR. Mainly due to the fact that we lack the defensive spells to counter situations like that.
