Glad your back playing too, very tempted to join in the fun but the killer cutesie bunnies are still putting me off :/
Nope no dual graphic cards, well I tried to do 'something' with directx but not sure what I should do. It's not a program I can un-install, and like I said earlier everything works 'fine' on OpenGL so that's the thing that buggs me. Does OpenGL have any negative side-effects? Does it use more % of my GPU, anything that DirectX doesn't do ;p ?

Thanks mate but not really joined again, just logging in once in a while to greet some friends. Bunnies are not the problem, the lack of things to do is ;p.

Haven't tried safe mode, I have tried Fixed Pipeline on DirectX though, got the same problem. I'll try safemode later.

Considering this, the problem exposed in this thread should be completely wiped out.

We'll inform the community in the upcoming days with a proper announcement regarding all of the improvements and new things to come; being this only one of all the enhancements waiting to be added to Regnum Online.

Best regards

Just tested Safe Mode, and yes I can confirm it does work normally with safe mode.. But my FPS is around 20 and everything is on the lowest setting. On OpenGL on the other hand I get around 40 fps, and nice graphics.

By the sounds of Frosk's post I was talking a load of crap (as usual ) and your trouble has been caused by changes to the client, guess your stuck with opengl for now.

In principle opengl and directx ask the card to do the same things but there are usually a few different ways all those things can be done, maybe there is another game gets the same kind of bug in opengl, good news is its unlikely to be a hardware problem.

Doubt anything will change with the bunnies but looking forward to the announcements, I know there is more than just the folks here on the forum to keep happy but hopefully some of our issues are being considered.

Default Had same problem.

ATI new driver is too blame i think. I had exactly the same problem. Uninstalled all ati drivers, then reinstalled graphicdrivers from the manufacturer of my lappys homepage in my case Asus, solved problem.

Just seen someone having vaguely similar trouble on another forum, that was due to AMD driver issues too, details are here fwiw.

Just read this, how can I reinstall my drivers? Or what should I do to lose these weird glitches.
Since my laptop's manufacturer is Acer should I look for my card's driver on their site ?
