I don't think the video was that bad. Obviously his gameplay isn't perfect. As mentioned lots of back-pedalling and inability to use the camera to its full advantage. Also overlapping CC's like crazy. He made a barb run away from him while he was in melee range???? Give him a little credit.

Let me help you with few hints:
  • R30/medium staves with non-funny damage and useful attributes are very hard to find. All below r30 and slow staves are unusable for staff mastery.
  • Intelligence attribute is unusable for mages, as it's not used to scale the staff damage (or any other damage).
  • To give some damage, mage needs to be buffed all the time with: Fire magnification, Ice magnification, Lightning magnification and Arcane acceleration.

Ive got a warlock and i know that they can hit at least 200 on marks and even hunters. Maybe reach 300 on mages.
We already know knights wont get hit more than 100.

And we all know that warlocks were not made for SM but to use CC spells and DoT's. At least that's what their implementation tells us .

SM is there only for grind, don't think any warlock would use it at a fort war cause it needs a lot of points and you can't get other "must-be" spells that a warlock would need, to be effective you need all magnifications + arcane acceleration + combat magic on lvl5 and lvl1 arcane projection comes in handy as well.... A lot of points :P

OT:Sorry but I didn't have the time yet to watch your video but gonna give it a shot once I have more time .

In his case and enemies he did not need even half of those typical lock dots . And yes, what i have seen were absolutely typical lock spells, nothing interesting, really. Heck, i would give that vid a like if only dmging spell he would use was mana burn. (ofc with drains and CCs) but not lighting/ice blast/so on. Yes, he would die alot cause it takes more running and time to fight in that case

My Conju is on SM. She got a 25r Medium and I'm fine with that. Because of my squishy setup, + not using SM maxed, I hit average range around 170-210. Sometimes 300s crits.
For your second statement. True
For your third statement. True and I don't find a problem with that.
I'm speaking as a Conjurer, but I want to point out SM isn't thaaaaat useless.

By the way, int is really useful with SM, saying it as lock that used to have 130+ Int all the time. Look
130 Int = 130*1,75 ~ 228 damage. Say me you get more damage off weapon
