You don't need a certain number from each realm to participate, you can still gain rps and points towards quests, it doesn't interfere with war, and most importantly you don't get knobs constantly screaming JOIN TDM, JOIN TDM!

Before this damn thing released, I and I'm sure a few others suggested an equal armor system for this shit.

Add stock Armor to only be used when in TDM one will be to physical damage and one to elemental damage, so each player has two choices.

A class cap in Haven really won't work because well, it's not enough players.

Limit the armors man and jewelery, stock jewelery for TDM's.

1st of all, i want to agree with many and say i also think: "TDM sux" You know why? Cos i prefer a big single warzone instance which has much more war. TDm distracts from the warzone. That said, I support TDM instances cos it is fun and make comments as follows.

I also support for TDM, and actually i also suppor it for warzone, that everybody gets to pick from a single inventory of armours and items. I know random loot is supposed to emulate a single inventory based on the random probability distribution, but I would like to see every item of loot that people can access. Also boss items should be time limited. Because then it really is a test of pvp skill and not a test of xim or drop lot grinding skill.

From what i can see Ignis (atm the most successful one in TDM) isnt made up by 8 names. What makes them good is that they seem to work together better. More or less they work as a team in team death match.

I like TDMs at times. They allow even numbers for a fight which can be refreshing.

ur right ignis is doing really well right now. they are beating superior numbers, responding faster and striking smarter, and even 1v1 they are showing strong skills. so the ranking by realm button is there to showcase their outperformance as well.

not everyone is going to look at the same comparisons, so part of the fun right now i find with rankings is to speculate why they are behaving the way they are. later i want the formula fully disclosed though.

maybe a bit like fantasy football.

If i'm correct, the formula in the champion ranking is quite simple - it takes the number of victories in the instances for every player.
Therefore, the ranking is strongly dependant on the team of players that join tdm, their gear, and whether the realm has the numbers to create a team with experienced players, or if newbies are included.

The 'formula' ignores the losses in tdm and therefore concentrates more on the team effort. I find that slightly puzzling, since it's a single "winner" of the three-month term that gets his statue.

yea.. i agree. the current formula which just records # of kills sucks ass. i onhly hope it is a placeholder formula and that it is improved upon. my personal preference is RP score, including full disclosure of RP formula.

RP is the measure most players are familiar with and its formula shud be disclosed anyway.

i think i posed another alternative preference somewhere along the lines of
HP damage and HP healing rankings? i cant quite remember now.
