I will kick out another mini chapter later tonight, though it will be competing for time with my fav show Supernatural. If not tonight then Friday night before Spartacus Blood and Sand comes on.

An Almost True Historical Story from the Alsius Archives (Horus) #3
The meeting and time had been arranged; the Noobs arrived at Pinos and found Tyr’s Zorn already planning their tactics for the upcoming battle. Rhanya approached a stout dwarf that seemed to be doing a good portion of the planning.
“Hello Flens” she said. “Prost!” was the reply she received from the dwarf and this seemed to start a sequence from the other Tyr members. “Prost!” from Healerous, “Prost!” from Kinsa, “Prost!” from Illuminati, “Prost!” from Irodia Blitzkrieg, “Prost!” from Exodus, “Prostn” from Cortez and a final “Prost!” from Germany. This form of greeting was new to some of the Noobs, but Kianoni, Vaina and Beardo replied with their own “Prost!” that encouraged the others to do so. After all pleasantries were aside they begun to speak of the task at hand. “Kinsa said she had spotted the Syrtians preparing a war group. I will let her speak her findings” Flens then sat back down with the other Tyr’s Zorn members. “The greens are beginning to amass a small war party; their orientation was towards puente blanco (PB – Spanish for white bridge). It appears they will shortly begin to move heading towards Samal Fort. This time of day the Igneans will be caught unaware and will not have the force to repel their attack,” Kinsa relayed. “We can deal with two enemies at the same time if we hurry and take Samal” continued Healerous, “they won’t be expecting us to rush the fort before them and once they are dispatched we can take care of the Igneans.” Samal could be a nice place if the warring lands could leave it alone. The nearby Oasis and Ignean market made it a prime trading and gathering location for Ignis. It did not have the beach of Menirah, though it did have a calming feeling about it and a mage could get lost in thought with the howling of the wind across the sand. For warriors though this sand was not a philosophical entreaty for empirical thought. The grit of the sand bore down on his eyes and the sweat nearly blinded him, yet he knew he had to persevere. He took his two handed war hammer and steeled his reserve, with a warcry he broke into a sprint heading for Galynn the green conjurer. Just prior to Flens reaching the conjurer, the eight Syrtians were struck to the ground by a force of magick that temporarily overwhelmed them. Flens followed Illuminati’s Sultar’s Terror with his mind squasher technique to dispel the conjurer’s defensive magic that had minimized the impact. Bringing switching to his axe he let out a typhoon that once more brought the syrts down, felling three of them. Cortez followed with an expansive wave that fell 2 more. Cortez felt some of his life sap away and weaken. With that distraction Flens, Illuminati and Cortez were hit by Zodar's own Sultar's Terror that he used to create a distance barrier that allowed him and his fellow syrts to start to run toward puente blanco. To the Noobs all was quiet except the Syrtians grunts of pain as the sultar leveled them to the ground and the sound of Flens hammer crushing through the mages shield, yet missing its mark. Those who had not known war before were slightly confused by the silence in between strikes and clashes. As if a dead calm had unhinged them from their lives and they were now experiencing a new life through someone else’s eyes. They also perceived another sense, a sense of being alone. Even though they were fighting along side of Tyr’s Zorn, it felt more like Tyr’s Zorn was fighting by themselves. This feeling was cemented when… “AAaaaggghhh” Rhanya screamed as a Syrtian arrow had pierced through her magic shielding. Two more arrows tamed the wind and found their mark. Rhanya had fallen outside of the fort. “heals, heals…” she cried while coughing up blood. She passed out, but not without seeing Germany and Exodus passing her without offering any help. Yawney and Kianoni camo’ed and made way to dispatch the archer, neading towards the Ignis orc camp. They found Refetan running, trying to rejoin his green comrades; Kianoni let an arrow slip to knock the marksman off balance, flashing out of camouflage. Kianoni’s beastly wolf ran to claim its own attack, while Yawney shot an ensnaring arrow at Refetan and his own pet went in for battle. Refetan caught his footing and fired his own counter attack into Kianoni. Kianoni felt like an invisible force just caused his spleen to explode and recoiled from the pain of the invisible attack. Yawney’s ensare hit and both pets pounced on the marksman. Yawney sensed a large lurking presence during the attack on the marksman, felt a large drop of wet gooey saliva fall onto his shoulder and dodged a strike from a giant troll coming out of camo. A Syrtian hunter had rushed to the marksman’s aid. Nytefyre let loose his own ensare against Yawney. Syd heard a cry and so did Vaina, both were involved with fighting and healing, but realized who had fallen. “Vaina you got her? I haven’t regained my strength from healing Beardo.” “Yeah, but you should get rid of that Zarkit. It is drawing your attention away from healing people,” groaned Vaina. “Stick to the matter at hand, Rhanya needs to be healed,” Syd looked at Vaina sternly. Sydonay’s Zarkit was on the parapet of the fort providing cover fire, attacking Nytefyre who had just come out of camouflage. Vaina, well rehearsed in the sanctuary spell, enacted that most precious of conjurer powers and was soon outside the fort moving towards Rhanya. The energies he released revived Rhanya who made direct head way to the fort. “Seriously, what the hell!” Rhanya said, still shaken up from her ordeal. Kinsa then appeared behind Refetan and finished him with a dual shot to the back of the head. Healerous , Exodus, Flens, Cortez, Illuminati and Germany were running after the Syrtian group trying to earn everyone a reprieve from the combat. Kinsa’s stealthy arrival had caught Nytefyre off guard. He had been wounded by that damned Zarkit and was not ready to die because of a noob warju. His fight or flight senses kicked into high gear. Realizing he was out numbered He began to run and sent his troll after Kinsa as a means of diversion for his escape. Kinsa, Kianoni and Yawney halted their chase to stop the impeding behemoth from attempting to crush them. The beast had fallen but only after a combined attack from all three hunters and the Zarkit. The hunters weary and tired returned to the fort to be healed by Syd and Irodia, while Vaina tended to Rhanya. “I swear Vaina that was total BS, they walked right passed me,” Rhanya said still infuriated. “Calm down Rhan, in the heat of battle the vision can become narrow and the mind focused on one task,” Vaina said trying to calm her down. Once refreshed the group in the fort met with those who had chased the Syrtis away. There was another uneasy calm. The Tyr’s clan was still not speaking at all and the Noobs after what happened to Rhanya did not know whether they were really amongst friends or just convenient extra bodies to help Tyr. The Noobs decided to return to Vinland Forest, as the objective had been met. No Igneans had arrived or if they had, Tyr’s Zorn without any word to the Noobs had killed them. This uneasy acquaintance did not leave a good taste in the back of Rhanya’s mouth and she wondered if they should depend on Tyr’s for anything again. Next chapter: Cat Fight, Rhanya versus Kinsa (yeah war parties were kinda small back then so 10 syrtis was considered big as the warzone was not very populated)

Mental pictures. The hardest time I am having with writing these is that I can not remember the names of anyone that only played for like a month, shown up in the war zone, and then never seen again. Or those who were there for six months and then went on to greener mmo pastures.

Nice stories syd. I seem to have lost all old screenshots when I upgraded my gaming rig - would have been nice to add some of em here. I also forgot to backup profiles for X52Pro and TrackIR5 (hours of programming lost), pfft.
