However, now that I don't spend my time grinding anymore I like to hang around bridges with a mate or two to report enemy incursions or take out the occasional lone hunter. Who needs to hunt when the enemies keep pouring in? |

Anyone can look at my history and see that I always considered and still consider Altar camping lame, yet it shouldn't be forbidden either. Camping is lame. Attacking the save is lame too but less than camping it .
I just want to point out something to Witch about his argument on mobs over lv 39 in the War Zone. Your argument is fundamentally flawed because you consider you have no choice but to go in the War Zone. Well I tell you, you can stop exping. The game is designed, and I hope it doesn't change, that the biggest challenge in gaining exp is not the grinding time but the other realms attacking you. Yes you may feel like it's lame. But well, roleplaying wise, it builds your hate towards them, that's a good game design/technique (wanted or not) to rely on feelings & social behavior. It also teaches you to have a party to hang with and to learn to fight. Why would you want to get higher level than 39 if it's not for war? Level 39, even 37, is a perfectly fine level for the inner realm. Level 50 is needed for war, and if you want to participate, you have to be ready to be killed a lot at first. I truly hope we can never get to level 50 in the safe zone, we already have enough levels 50 who don't know anything about how to fight. You can see how it happens on experimental with new players getting a level 50 char... I saw a level 50 conjurer rushing a Warlock, wasn't pretty ... I know being hunted is already discouraging at first, but I actually enjoyed it in some wicked way because I swore revenge and it gave me a good reason to get better and level up fast. Save camping is even worse because you're powerless, and it's truly lame in my mind. But it shouldn't prevented. The War Zone is just that; there is no sanctuary, there is no peace. Be ready to die, or just stay in the safe zone and stop exping. If you like grinding you can still do it on lower level mobs after all . I saw you at Samal so I think you're in it for the War? Or were you just testing it out (btw I'm the one who canceled your rez from afar at some point ).? Well anyway you have a choice so it's not forced on you. My solution: make resurrection dizziness permanent if the player does not move, cancel it at first step (so it will indeed give an advantage to the player and not the save campers, but that's OK because the altar is here anyway). |

You know, if you want to keep your blood pressure at a reasonable level, you could always try my method of dealing with save-campers:
1. Report it to your realm 2. Log out (or switch chars). 3. Wait 10-15 minutes for the campers to leave or get killed. 4. Log back in. Works for me. |

Zidane, first i wanted to push you on the "noob pile" too
but its cool you apologized i dislike savecamping too. its simply lame. first i have to say that i dont see savecampers that often (maybe cause i use to idle inside forts?). Still I think its a bit hyped but it does happen of course. But you cant just run away from savecampers. The times i experienced it, there were other people around who fought against the campers, so you cant let them down. even if you die a few times and gift rp, you still have to get them down. everyone running away into another direction for 2 minutes sounds reasonable in theory only. practiacally its not possible because a) they will follow you and kill you and head back to the save b) they will stay at the save and kill your mates c) you run into a random direction where you cant level up (cause thats what you are up to most of the time) d) you just run into the next hunting group The best thing to do is to call for help. i know that ignis is very quick at cleaning up savecampers at the main save. if you are all alone you problably should try to shake them off, but when they are around with a hunter they will find you anyway. |

in my own experience ending up in a save in the middle of a hunt is a death sentence 90% of the times, although I never went out hunting especifically to end up in a save and never yet with a high level group (notice i´m talking of main saves)
my advice to newbies: 1) save in the main save, not the secondary saves. Save where everybody else does 2) get to know how people move inside your relam. Find the unpopulated zones and avoid them if you are alone. 3) find the fastest route from one point to another (it´s easier now with the map) 4) go savecamping. Experience it yourself |

1. both of you start at the save. you run in one direction for two minutes, they follow. 2. you get pwned. at this point, you are two minutes away from the save point, the campers have followed you and killed you. 3. hit ressurect. you get flown back to the savepoint immedeately, the campers are two minutes away. you get a two minute head start running in the other direction. now, this is not a tactic to use to let you go lvling, this is a tactic used to escape a bad situation. it is a last ditch suicide run to buy you some time to get the hell out of dodge. it gives you time to escape, regroup, maybe go back and fight them with a group, or get someone of higher lvl to lend a hand. either way, the answer is not a solo suicide attack, repeating the same mistake several times, then posting about how unfair it was on the forums. of course, if they are following you, there is nothing to stop you from running deeper into your realm, leading them further into harms way. in short, you have two options, run away or get help and kick some ass. the answer is not run towards the enemy, getting a beatdown, then doing it again and again, and tbh, people just dont seem to understand this point. heck, if it really annoys people that much, they can just close the game and walk away, do something else for a while, play with another character. its not like their lives depend on regnum. i think magnet, Drah and El_naso all have the right idea for dealing with save campers. |

Save camping is lame,
but every "victim" of them are lame too, cause they dont use ress dizzy too run away to the nearest fort, or just log off. Now hush hush, kiss for truce, have a beer or two, and continue playing

save camping is lame yes, and it sucks being killed by save campers, I have never actually tried it (neither victim nor attacker.) But for the victims. Well yeah I see witch is trying to defend it, which is ok, but bringing some relam mates or calling for help while you are invulnerable would probably be a good idea
