The pet will only attack you if you attack it. It can't be controlled and it is nobody's fault except your own if it happens to retaliate. Actually it's quite dumb for anything to stand there dying when they can attack.

I won't kill the pet of a hunter when he has fought honourable. But when the hunter is a save/gatecamper I've got no mercy and like earlier today with an ignis hunter AT central save, I'll finish his pet. This hunter was even unlucky, since his pet was bugged and didn't attack back. But I think he deserves that.

Ok I think this is the good thread to talk about my views on pets in regnum. For me pets are shit in regnum, you should only have one tame spell and revive pet should be one of your first spell (like in WoW).
This said, I don't care if you kill my pet, if it is fun for you, do it. After all you deserved it I wasn't strong enought to protect my pet and myself. Generally as I might have said I won't need it just after dying because I'll be back at save.

In WoW you can control your pet, Tell him to come back, to attack, etc.
Here you just can watch him getting killed. Pet is only usefull when hunting for me. It helps me smoke people really fast that 's all. In fort wars I often don't waste mana reviving my pet.

but I don't kill a pet if the hunter is killed in my "own realm part" there's really no need to. If he dies near a save I would kill it |

I've seen it happen too - sometimes after I'm dead my pet still killed who killed me (if it was a close fight). Didn't think that was supposed to happen but I have seen it occur from time-to-time.
