This is a classic case of computer - illiteracy. Really a shame in the 21 century.

quite there is very little threats of viruses and bugs in a reputable company that has been downloaded by many people. Usually those viruses, spyware, hackware etc are found within the "dirtier" parts of the internet such as pronographic sites, hack sites etc. trust me about this dude i've downloaded this game 5 times no viruses or anything and im on a laptop. If your mum is really concerned about her computer she should have some form of protection and that should be enough to keep the viruses out and keep your computer safe.

put all your moms files onto a disk? then tell her you have a backup?

also nothing will go wrong iv never had a problem with viruses ect on the 4-5 PCs iv downloaded RO to just you may what to brouse tech support if you run on vista/linux
