There are girls in I.T., but not enough. My standards are getting lower and lower as the time goes by.

@Phoenix: In Mech. Engineering there are plenty of women (at least in my University). The same happens with Chemistry and Petrochemical Engineering or with Industrial Engineering.

Anyway, all in all it's not so bad, I won't get distracted in class.

Dear Diary

Today I got a call from my Mum panicing cos her laptop wasn't working. So I got me dear friend out of his bed and he took me over there. He moved furniture (cos my Mum had put all the wires behind the heaviest stuff (of course)). Still no joy so I hummed hahed and swore a bit.

Then I checked the modem............. yup you guessed my dear blessed Mum had plugged the cable into the WRONG place. PLEASE can we have a law against 70yr old slightly dotty but sweet ladies having computers. Oh and to cap it all I then discovered that the drivers for her cd/rw have been deleted.

(All I can say is thank goodness she don't play Regnum, peace would break out and she would be constantly telling me to be careful.)

Ive given up all hope of ever doing what i want to do..was going to go to college to study a NVQ - Level 2 in Childcare, the government here are really tough on single parents now it seems, they wont even pay for my CRB check (police check, all carers need this) its 32 pound that just cant afford, i rang staffordshire student services(spoke to some snotty woman, who made me feel like a beggar, when argued that i cant afford it),they only want to fund higher education courses, so basically people in my position arent able to get out of the god forsaken money pit that they find themselves in. My dad can pay it(the CRB), but for the last 7 months ive borrowed enough, it dents your pride when you cant pay them back. BT restricted my phone line cause i cant pay the bill in full, my kids are growing that fast..i cant afford to clothe them quick enough...as a friend recently told me to do..im saying all this because to be fair ive been really shitty in game..im sorry if ive pissed people off, it really isnt me.. :/
