welll, I read while I was away (yes I know, shock and gasp) and the books I attempted to read were the lord of the rings books
they were, shockingly, better than the movies. Anyways, yes they were pretty good... except I didn't like Frodo, he was a bit of an ass to Sam.

Did you read the Silmarillion? The first two stories are easy to read, but the main one is simply impossible to read if you're not patient enough to go to the map, look up the places, go to the glossary, look up the names, go back to the story... Anyway, I liked it

But now to some books that I like. As you may have guessed, I'm into science fiction, at least for some time now. I do not have a single favorite book, so I will name a few authors I like. I really enjoyed Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars Trilogy although it has some lenghts. But it also has very well described characters and a whole bunch of interesting ideas in a realistic setting. Iain M. Banks is one of the authors I love for their style of writing. Alastair Reynolds, what I've read so far. Richard Morgan. Oh well, these are all more modern writers. I guess I still have to read some of the classics.

It took me more than three months to finish it, reading it in every spare moment at school (yeah, I couldn't find anything more entertaining than reading a book, until I bought a palm).
