Granted, Aircrafts are fragile, and in times of crisis the thing gets worse. I think you would like to see the movie "Whiskey Romeo Zulu", the accident of the flight Lapa 3142 (lv-wrz). Another interesting crash was flight Austral 2553 (lv-weg).

But still, I feel safer flying on a plane than driving.
