@Dutch why don't you make a conju? Or log enio's conju that stays most of time only as a grinding puppet? Why don't you do not play conju? Because no hunter want to taste their own medicine!

Do not throw me here IT IS A REALM PROBLEM. It is not a realm problem i mostly 80% of times see goat conjus alone, ignis conjus alone, syrtis conjus alone and i know what they feel and i know the pain and anger to play in such situation!

Ask every conjurer on this damn server what is their most hated moment? 100% will answer to play alone! In this moment hunter confuse wh*res do anything to make your gameplay a nightmare and you know what YOU CAN NOT DO A S*IT when this happens!

You die and log another class and say to you i will not play this conjurer at least for a day, week, forever. Only ppl who really love to support stay and they can be counted to a fingers on my arms in my realm. Same is on ignis same is on alsius. All that conjus you see on bosses are those EX conjus who gived up being constantly ganked and abused.

Using confuse on alone conjurer is harassment, abuse i can not say what more. If you are so good, play without it you can kill conjurer with ambush, stunfist and other spells you have. Do not be a p*ssy , fight like a man!

To hunters that cast confuse on lone conju in support setup trying to cross a bridge i can say only one thing - shame on you! You make another conju abused, enraged and one step near to quit that wanderfull class.

Guys do not act like a bullies, fight with honor - it is more fun for both sides.

ehm, nice to get flamed and stuff, but my confuse is lvl 1, i only use it in RvR or against locks/other hunters/ppl that use dist shot or something like that and horse away, and my point wasnt that a hunter/knight should be able to kill alone, i was talking about functioning, and a marks/barb/lock can kill alone, both marks and especially barb will be out of mana, the barb has to buff up to do something, and if the opponent resists even a little bit, a marks has to use some spells to prevent getting cced himself, my point is, no class can function very good without allies, (yeye, dont begin about current live situation), neither should a conj, i might agree on di castable on self half dura, but this would make confuse useless, togheter will all other archer(except BoW and most annoying winter stroke) cc, because no conj would be without a di then, confuse is really the only thing that stops heal for a certain period of time(yeah, if you make it lvl 5 its a long period of time >.<), darkness can only get 1 player, and has a rather long cooldown, BoW+meteor are used on locks or meteor as dmg, and what else is there to stop support? Dont say support doesnt need a counter because its the class main purpose, speed and stealth are a hunters main purpose, speed now is 7% passive and 10% mob, so 17% for 10 points, camo and stalker got reveal as counter, a knight tanking has counters, ms, ds, ss, fragility and any other armor debuff, a barbs dmg, ms, slowing him down, that never used spell of lock with -dmg boni, a marks dmg and cc over range, mana burn, any def buff will help alot, even locks have that -ranged dmg, locks, dmg and cc, meteor, BoW and any other dizzy(warriors have some), all classes their purposes have a counter, why shouldnt a conjurer, sure, at lvl 3-5 it is long, but nerfing the duration would only hurt the ppl that use it at lvl 1 or 2 for tactic use, ppl that used it at lvl 4 or 5 will still make it lvl 4 or 5 and still have 15-20 secs of uselessness for a conj in their spellbook.

I couldn't be bothered reading the rest of your post after I read this sentence. A conjurer hit with confuse can't function AT ALL.

No one is against a counter to conjurers, but one thing is counter their supportive properties, another thing is to counter their support and defensive capabilities - Confuse disables both, which makes it a Death Sentence on Conjurers;

Using it at lvl 1/2 is against NGD's policy of making spells only truly useful at lvl 5 (I dont like it either, but the big boss is NGD...);

And so to all archers, hunters and marksmen who use confuse: Confuse on a Conjurer is the same as casting on you a non-damaging Bettle Swarm with a duration up to 35 seconds - do you think it would be fun for you? if Beetle Swarm lasted for 35 seconds, would it be a balanced spell in RvR? - it's dispe'able after all and DI would prevent it!

I still say Confuse is good spell. Hey make it 7, 9, 11, 13, 15s as every good CC spell. 7s is pretty enough for every class to gain advantage in needed situation. It's level 1 usage still will be good. Mages use silence on level 1 it is good spell - i use on conju and on lock. No problems at all.

I do not see nothing wrong in confuse as a effect. I see it wrong as a duration, as a combination of duration, effect and range. As a combination of spells - Camo, Ambush, Confuse, SoTW.

I'm pretty fine if it is smaller duration, i'm pretty fine if it is a 6m cast range, i'm pretty fine if i get confuse resist on my Mind Blank. I'm pretty fine if i get any chance to stay alive, YES stay alive after confuse hit.

That is not a realm problem, that is a balance problem. To balance conjurers should have a power that disables all powers of an archer for 35seg.

I vote to remove it.

Why?

Because in current state, it makes 100% win for a pet hunter, versus ANY class.

I'm using it at level 1 without pet nor sotw, and it is already a powerful spell, i refrain to cast it but on conjs in big war (when too much conjs make the fight unbalanced or when i'm just bored).

Still, on Horus, almost all pet hunters use it:
- i was attacked by 4 hunters + pets, alone, and still they cast 3 confuse(4) on me, in case of....
- support conjs can't do anything when under confuse
- other classes are almost dead meat when confused
- no one skills it at level 5, because level 3-4 is already enough


Let's wait how it turns after Amun's changes go live.

Hunters were nerfed a lot (too much imho). No speed, reduced damages, no pet + camo, but i guess it will not change much when you'll be ambushed by a hunter + pet + new sotw + confuse(4).
