These armors are not exactly ugly, but consist of elements everybody has seen a thousand times, sometimes in much older games. A few spikes here, a random belt there... boring. The brown-in-brown colour scheme doesn't help. Mage armours might be an exception (hopefully). Knight armor looks ridiculous, the entire thing. Knights are supposed to wear full plate, not leather.

Although I love the whole arena expansion and champion thing. I was hoping the armors and weapons this time would be super unique and at least like 3 new sets each so that it would add diversity to people in end game looks. I was hoping for some fire burning pauldrons or very different armor than what we have, maybe add that cape thing people were talking about long ago for champions. Something super fresh!

All in all I like it evverything I see so far about the expansion.

that would be awesome, maybe zombie and skeleton looks and added blood and gore

I like the idea of blood from melee and arrow impacts. Blood and gore isn't for everyone, but it can add a new dimension to the game to give it a little bit more of an epic "feel". Maybe allow it as a checkbox option because I realize it's not for everyone.

Even smaller fights would feel more intense, subconsciously, if there was some kind of element of blood mixed into the fighting... more than just gutting and fatal strike.

Also, I like the cape idea if it's done right. Maybe even down the road add realm surcoats or something.

The new champions armor looks cool, but as it's been said before, it doesn't look very fresh or new or really that different from what's already out there (except for maybe the knight armor).

I do love the look of all the new stuff. And I agree with most that we need more diversity in the game. I don't think it would be to hard to come up with 3 -4 more styles of armor for each class and for levels 50 - 60. I also like the cape idea. I could see capes as giving small bonuses, like damage, protection, cast speed, bonuses.

I don't think adding blood and gore to the game would be very beneficial. there is a couple of problems with it. First there would be the graphics overhead for this type of thing. Just think of all the stuff that would have to rendered when 20 people get hit by an area spell at a gate. Can you say video lag.... Another problem is that, animations would need to be reworked to make it look good, and that could also cause some problems. The other problem is that it would turn off some people to the game, but other might like it.

There is one thing that really has me bothered, and that's community. This game has always had a great community feel, and still does for the most part. But it has not grown, it's shirking. I remember clans that had 50 or more people in it not counting alternate charters and 20 or more would be on at a time. I think more needs to be done to strengthen and grow the community. So I would love to see the clan options increased a bit. I would love to see clan emblems. A fix and rework of the clan options. Just think if we could have capes,shields or other armor parts that we could have clan emblems put on. I think it would be alright to even make it a small amount of xim to "embroider" these emblems on. Maybe we could also do clan colors, that automatically made capes a color based on the clans colors, and those not in a clan set in their realms colors. It would add dentistry and a contiguity to the game. But there is one problem I can see with capes, not all armor would look good with a cape. Take mages for example most of the have full robes, so it would look nice and be cool if some mages could ware a upper tunic and some pants, at a cape to that and it would look awesome. not all mages where full robes in many fantasy books and movies.
Sorry for rambling

tl;dr: Armor and Dragons looks cool. We need more diversity, and capes could be an added bonus. Also clans needs to be reworked a bit. Also I don't like the idea of mages always wearing full robes. that is all.

let me be the first to respond... i love it... but isnt it just carnival island look a like? i was hoping to see snow... or something like on the crystal island :\

anyways looks fine..
