It returns % spell dmg, for 15 secs, unless you get normal hitted, then the spell gets cancelled.
So if you cast retaliation lvl 5, and a barb south crosses you, it will do the damage to the barb instead of you. It's in tricks discipline

yes and it should stop after the first attack not the first normal hit.
