Realm Change Scrolls

I want realm change ! Moving out of Ignis fo sure. =D
Also about the gears being changed and abused, instead do something like if a ignis player with daen mace and tenax ammy wants to move to alsius, change their gear to a thork hammer and alas ammy (or w/e is equal to that item) just an example =P

I personally don't have much of a problem with the idea of realm change scrolls but I think it should be expensive to prevent misuse.

A lvl 60 scroll costs 99,000 xim, if your changing realm you obviously don't want to have to grind to lvl 60 again and as you cant have multiple realm characters on the same account this is no use to you, but the price is a good precedent.

If you are changing realm you are
1. Paying to not have to grind to 60 again
2. Paying to keep your current gear
3. Paying to keep your current gold stocks
4. Paying to keep your character name

As the price of a lvl 60 scroll (not having to pay to grind to 60 again) is already set at 99k xim I feel the price should be 130k+ xim minimum(maybe more depending on if it had a auto-race change for realm-specific races) to take into account the ability to keep hold of your gear, character name, gold and of course, not have to grind to 60 again.

If you have more than 1 lvl 60 character on your account then you are getting extra benefit based on the price of a lvl 60 scroll as that is priced per character.

A varying price depending on population could be useful, but to stop people buying them and saving them I think it would have to be instant use on-buy so you cant store them, you buy it and its instantly used.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

How would this solve realm balance if its too expensive for people to want to use it? Having it cost 99k xim would just make realm changing too rare to have any serious effect on realm balance.

I dont feel the realm change scrolls would affect realm balance at all to be honest, which is why I suggested a very expensive scroll.
A perfect example is the posts a-few previous to this one, people from Ignis-Haven which wish to realm change.
Its certainly not because Ignis is overpopulated, so if your doing it for proper realm balance why not make it so only the overpopulated realms can move?

If they did it so only overpopulated realms to move there would be crying from everyone not a Syrtisian who wants to move.
If they make it really cheap you'll end up with people moving from under-populated factions to more populated ones simply because of the population and they don't want to be farmed anymore.

A-lot of people seem to be assuming that if they implemented this there would be mass Syrtis joining the underpopulated realms but what makes you think that people from the underpopulated realms wont be leaving for other realms as well?

Having it expensive would also stop people following population trends too, from what I can gather the populations of realms fluctuates quite a-bit and at times a faction which is underpopulated now could have had alot of active players a few months ago. While a faction reasonably populated now may have been a ghost town at the same time.
If you had the realm change scroll cheap then there would almost certainly be a group of people who would hop realms during this time simply not to be farmed totally eliminating the feeling of realm solidarity which NGD has tried to nurture.

If it won't affect realm balance at all, I see no point in implementing it.

The whole purpose of this suggestion is to solve a problem and if it won't do that then why bother discussing it any further? I feel that if controlled it can solve the problem to some extent but it definately won't if its ridiculously expensive.
