How can you seriously be saying that this page sucks ?! Inkster and you are really well matched : "Oh, I made a little video, with no pretenses, just because I could. But I don't like it, it sucks"... and now, THIS ? "But in my opinion, it really sucks" !?!

Now, seriously, I have found ONE and only thing funny : a strange blurring in the upper left corner of the first frame (and, as always, that's just my humble opinion). All the rest is excellent !
The situation of that fight is very well rendered (and it's not easy to put 3 positions of combat in the same frame : the archers, the fighters in close-combat and the fish-netted ! \o/).
The effects of Bless and Heal Ally are sublime (special mention for Heal Ally, that's an exploit ! ).
And finally, the look in your eyes in the last frame :O ! That's what I want to see in that kind of look : determination ! No matter if you'll succeed or fail, all that is important is your will : DO or DIE ! \o/


No matter if you feel you'll suck at something, simply do it ! ^^

My new scanner is broken already I think. It blurres almost a half of the scanned picture. :/ I'm really down because of that, it costed fortune and I can't turn it back.

Little things like that make me really feel like shit lately :P

Well Piz, time for a long post from me for once.

First of all, regarding the new page: imo. it's one of your best so far.
It might not contain as much content as your pages usually do, but it pictures an everyday Regnum fight really well with great details and the buffs perfectly reassembled from the actual game.

It's also a page that even a bloodthirsty goat like me can identify myself with in contrast to many of your other pages that are filled with internal jokes and daily Syrtis life

Ofcourse I am also eager to see what Piz is up to, a nice cliff hanger there.
I am really looking forward to the next page.

Second, regarding your "artist block", I totally understand you.
Perhaps art and programming can't be compared, but usually I start working on a project only to be almost disgusted by my own solutions and the structure of my code after a while which often demotivates me to the point I get nothing done at all.

Improving at that point is also hard.
Usually I try to work around the problem by adding some new feature or refactoring the code to get this "flame of passion" burning again which will further motivate me to keep coding.

It's always hard when you feel a preasure because what you do is no longer only for yourself but for so many others that enjoy your work.
I hope you can still enjoy drawing the comic, and that you don't only do it for the sake of your fans

How could you possibly be depressed about your skills? You're one of the best drawers I have ever seen and I enjoy reading your comic very much! And you're also a very nice and funny person to talk to, on IRC or when you used to play in our clan

Seriously, with your talent you shouldn't be worried about anything, from what I can tell being depressed doesn't suit you very well, be as you always have been when I was around: Happy and optimistic! It's the best and probably easiest way to go through life. And if you've got any problems you know you can always join IRC and talk to your friends!
