Conversely, in tight quarters or an area with a lot of trees to hide behind, knights are very difficult to kill. In the open sands of ignis though....much, much different story. :-P

If a hunter has the right skillset, warlocks can be regularly beaten. It depends on a bit of luck, of course, as spells like son of the wind do still randomly let some attacks through. When fighting a warlock if you resist soulkeeper, you'll normally beat him.

That's one of the big reasons i dont use pets. Another big reason is because even though i resist most spells, it gives the enemy warlock the ability to soulkeep/vamprism my pet- whose resistance is much, much lower than mine. I don't want that warlock to have any source of easily retrieved hp present when i'm 1 vs 1. If they want to attack some mob to soulkeep it, then i'll have the benefit of a pet attacking them anyway, without having spent any points to get it, lol....

PS: the forum made me break these posts up, as i was getting an error message if i tried to put it all in one big post. Sorry for the resultant "double posts"

I've been caught by barbarians. I don't always have a full tank of mana to cast all a hunters various speed bursts. Where barbs are REALLY dangerous to hunters is as a "first stage booster" for other, faster classes. An onlsaughted pursuing hunter or even marksman(with full speed boosts) is almost impossible to outrun, so in those cases, the hunter has to resort to other means of escape- ie, invisibility. Barbarians are also very hard to catch.

And just a FYI, very few hunters actually have max speed. For instance i drowned a lvl 50 ignis hunter pursuing me the other day because i was fast enough to run accross the river UNDERWATER, but she was not. 3/4 of the way accross, she flopped down, dead.

Muwhahhahaahah, fish food. :-P

You really should reread the post to which you were responding....where i specifically say, "so in those cases, the hunter has to resort to other means of escape- ie, invisibility."

Would you call that hiding?

I tell you one thing:
Barbarians ARE faster than hunters. They have:
-more speed
-more armor
-more damage
-more life
So there is absolutely *_NO_* point for barbarians to whine about the speed things.
And when a hunter turns invisible you simply have to use your brain. There are not much directions they can go. And they are invisible for max. 30 seconds and have a movement of -50%.
And many people are that stupid and kill their pet instead of following it. Once a Barbarian catches up to a hunter (what is very easy with onslaught and spring) the hunter is dead. Period.
The balance between the 2 classes is good right now. And the hunters are neither overpowered nor are they the weakest class. With the right setting they are simply dangerous.
