Default What did you think about update?

Tell us why you liked it or don't.

I particularly didn't like it. I began to play again few weeks before last update. There were great wars when there were players from all realms online. Now on small servers it's hard to get wmc. Before, we could get 300 coins in 20 minutes or 900/1200 in 15 minutes; now we have to kill 60 players (lvl 60) to get the same amount (300 wmc). The players don't want capture or recapture only one fort because they don't get wmc anymore.

I'd wanted to know what you think about it.
Thank you!

I liked it. It made a clanmate quit the game and give me their tenax mage armour set.

Please NGD, please keep making players quit so I get more free stuff.

I wouldn't use the word like but instead I would say I prefer this update to the previous ones with improvements in the next update. I really don't want to see empty zerging of anything, be it fort, gate, invasion, whatever for WMC.

As a few others and myself have strongly suggested while the update was being tested... More overall damage wasn't a good thing. I still stand by my suggestion (hopefully for the near future) that all players get a small raise in base health and armor, and area damage should be nerfed. If they do this change, then I think the war in the game could be awesome, and this would allow war to keep being good even if the game's population were to grow.

As for the WMC system... At first, it killed war in Ra, and was not a good change from the fun and balanced WMC farming it was before. I don't know how it is in haven right now, but all I know is whenever I logged into haven for grinding/letters/mag hunting right after the update, there was literally nothing going on at all. Perhaps this was not such a bad thing for Ignis, as it seems to have given our troops a little break from getting zerg-farmed for WMC. It even made war kind of redundant and boring in Ra at first, but all 3 realms have pretty much returned to warring as usual. Except now Aggers is the 3-way zerg farm for WMC during peak hours, which is really awesome until Ignis drops area nuclear bombs on you. The WMC system in Ra before the update really didn't need a change because all 3 realms had been getting plenty, except I feel like the totals for holding/re-capping forts were too high. However, players have returned to just playing, but with some adjusted strategy for gaining WMC.

So, in conclusion... I still really don't like the added damage, but the WMC system is actually not bad when you get used to it. Only problem is I still am having trouble getting credit for combat with fort rewards. I think that if your realm can hold 2 forts until the relic cages open, players at both forts should receive equal fort rewards even if the enemies only show up at one of them. Players at the active fort are still getting more WMC from fort kills anyway, might as well give the others at least something for waiting. Maybe make it 100 base reward for holding 2 forts, 200 for 3, and a bonus reward of an extra 100 for those that actually combat... or something like that.

So basically it's a yes and a no for me, so I don't know which poll choice to go with.

Cons
  • too strong damage amulets - huge advantage for archers over other classes
  • absolutely no discussion between players and NGD, actually no response. It just looks like they don't care at all.
  • difference between end game players and lvl 50 players got increased wtf-omg-much
  • no balance on haven - alsius got jewels instantly
  • made the game even more time/life consuming - the gap between occasional players and nolifers was increased even more
  • what a bullshit jewels for mages(in comparison with other classes)
  • wmc rewards - promote the basically boring fort farms and totally annihilate the funniest wars (bridge and open space battles)
  • many good old players left cause of this update
  • Personally, I totally lost faith NGD has some plan how to improve(or least keep alive) Haven and actually whole game

Pros
  • Gold got finally value. I bet that wasn't intended, but I appreciate it.
  • Jewel whores happy

Jewellery update was quite a disappointment to me.
Reasons why can be found in previous posts, and other threads.

Especially wmc jewels for horrendous amounts of wmc, that one realm was conviniently farming for the last few month, and others simply cannot afford. Poor new players, I seriously couldn't recommend any of my friends starting the game now. Especially since obtaining wmc has now become much more time consuming, nothing was done with early-game and wm jewellery players are dominant in the most populated realm.

It might not be the fault of the developers that this situation arised, but they don't seem to do anything to improve it.

There are some good aspects too though. For example gold jewels, but I don't understand why they're character bound...

I see lot of players took a break, or left, in the past few weeks. War has diminished overall. I still do believe this has something to do with the beginning of school year.

I really really hope the next updates will be focused on the early-game or midgame (levels 20-50), and not building on the foundation of WM.

the big problem with last update before this was that wmc rewards were just too high. Alsius was able to farm too many wmc, and wmc rewards should have been adjusted within days. I really like the mechanics though, as it promoted war. Being able to get over 200k wmc in a week though... that was ridiculous. But you cant really blame players, in this case alsius players, of making use of what they're given.

Completely agree with those statements. Haven population has dwindled for some time now, and I believe it's critical for the Dev's to focus on the early game and bringing new players to the game- instead of the players that are already here. I'll also agree with Roonwick that you can't blame the players for just playing the game and earning absurd amounts of WMC. I'd hate to log in my level 55 character and see how quickly it dies in the warzone now.

Well, this is from a lvl 51 hunter against a lvl 60 marks, but it just gives you an idea of the difference between lvl 50 and 60...
