Ubuntu 7.04 + Radeon 9550 + 8.41.7 drivers

Ok i updated my drivers today..and this is what i get:

Almost all players are white, all rocks and trees too.

This is only when my Texture Quality is Low or Medium, when i put it High everything is back to normal. But my GPU sucks and i'd like to keep it Low. So anyone knows if theres anything i can do to fix this?

use the open-source ati ubuntu drivers.

Please, to save your headaches, just use the open-source drivers. Trust me

I dont know if this is fully driver related thing cause i have almost same problem in windows. If my texture quality is low, my armour is black and everyone elses armour is black too, if thats same armour that i use.
It was like that in ubuntu too before i updated drivers and now its gone worse as you can see from my screenshots.

And still, opensource drivers are not an option now.

Did you have this same problem with the 8.40 driver? The 8.41 is still a beta driver for anything under the R600 cards, and is not supported to work consistently on anything lower.
