Video Recording Software?

I've quite a few ideas about the new contest, and was wondering what recording software you guys use. Any recommendations?

Windows and allies (?) ---> ZD Soft Game Recorder - http://www.zdsoft.com/game-recorder/

IMHO, far better than Fraps. Though its not free...

Linux ---> gtk-recordMyDesktop (the frontend for recordMyDesktop). This one is free, of course

Another GNU/Linux recording software is Yukon:

i use fraps (www.fraps.com) and xfire (www.xfire.com).

to edit i use windows movie maker, google it.

wellgood luck i know this compettion will pwn me BADLY!

if anyone knows a better free recording program (lasts longer than 30sec each clic) and a better edeting program (windows movie maker wont take my music files SOB and doesnt find an audio device and neither does xfire.) ill thank u for it

I tried Gamecam with other games, its good like Fraps, though not sure its supported by Regnum. Also if you don't like the annoying watermark logo with Fraps then you can use Taksi, though its still in development.

For Linux I would recommand GLC[1][2] it was inpsired from yukon. (Works on my computer whereas yukon crash when RO creates the OpenGL window)

Would like to test something differnet then recordmydestop, but

Didn't get yukon to work on ubuntu. And i assume I'm to stupid for this too. So, are there any deb-packages around?
