Which is the fastest class to level?
It's been ages since I've even SEEN this forum and longer still since I've played the game; I can't remember, which class is the fastest to level?
I've been considering playing RO again but I don't want to go through the oh-so-very painful Knight grind again. Please list the two (or three) classes which are fastest to level so I have some options.

IMO fastest to level is barb with ripost and normal hit, very easy to level too are marks and conju, then warlock then hunter then knight.

I still think Conju's.
After level 21 you never need to rest, and once you get to level 33 -> 50 you can use SM with your zarkit which equals insanely fast levelling.

Conju's, hands down.
After lvl18 you dont even have to rest, grinding is insanely fast. Generally I would say grinding is, from fastest to slowest, as such: Conjurer Warlock Barbarian Marksman Hunter Knight

youre kidding about barbs being so low right?
i literally cried (ok maybe not really but i was a bit miffed) when i found levelling my barb was so easy after leveling my knight to 50. i personally never levelled a conj/lock/marks so i do not know how easy/hard they are to grind. but i know hunter is decently easy to level, as long as you stick to mobs that arent hard unless you have a good pet and dmg/debuffing setup and kite alot so that you only have to regen mana rather than Hp, but seems to me pets arent all that good with a kiting setup as they dont hit the mob often but trail behind worthlessly, so maybe a protection buff setup and full dmg potential would be more quicker overall and save some points. the one i use for drop grinding has zero evasion tree, but hinder, ss, ambush, snare, tear apart and dual shot with a bow switch setup and i honestly dont even need a pet for earning money. as for barb, a good weapon, thirst for blood, weapon buff, and beserk really rip through mobs, so much so i dont even wear armor while grinding..and if im lucky i take minimal to no damage with 1 hit kills, and only need to rest when my buffs are on cooldown and i have no mana, or still just throw on tfb or berserk and still kill some more mobs with normals till my hp is quite low as well. (this is only my opinion from a relative "noob" to this playing style, as its my first barb and im mid 43 so of course i may be wrong later..but so far it just gets easier and easier to kill, only the xp gained to level gets more and more) with a knight, it was pure pain, and i dont really need to go into it all. overall though, i think all classes have a bit of a "nerf" with the stupid resist/evade rates that are completely random and impossible to counter, as i honestly believe there is NO skill or stat that you can raise to avoid them (I have tried conc like alot of people have stated, and still got the same basic results) so you'll get that occasional "spell elude and old sotw" mob that drains your mana dry with resist after resist and evade after evade.

My list would be
Conjurers Marksmen Warlocks Hunters Barbarians Knights Of course its all close, ranged clases can level pretty much nonstop. Warriors are the slowest to level in my experience, on a conjurer I can level nonstop. Marksmen, Warlocks, and Hunters only need to rest every 30-40 mobs for Mana or Health. I don't know why most people usually list hunters as hard, to me its the same as a marksman, I know Comp uses a similar setup. I just max Scouting and Pets and go with Bestial Wrath + 1 Ensnaring Arrow each mob. I kite with passive speed boost so mobs run away before they get to me, and a 30 range bow, somtimes with Para shot. I guess its also because my normal hits are heavy too though. Barbs level much faster then knights, but they need to rest alot too. Arguably, warriors are worth it on the battle field. Kind of a price to pay unfortunatly :P Leveling in groups though I think the best combo is a barb and conjurer |

To me it's:
Conjuror Warlock Barbarian Knight (auras ftw!) Marksman Hunter Plain simple archers don't have buffs or auras

Conjurer
Barbarian Warlock Marksman Hunter Knight The barbarians can grind on hard mobs too easily. The mages has staff mastery, and they able to regain mana and shield themselves. The marksmen can do awesome normal hit or hit+spell setups, they can kill cheap. I usually grind with a 4 level stronger hunter, and I am able to deal more than 50% of the damage, and we rest togother, because we burn our mana in same time. Tear apart and dual shot/pierce armor are awesome spells, but we can use them too and we have Recharged arrows, Ethereal arrow, Death Sentence and Serpent Bite. These are very mana friendly spells with huge damage potential. I usually dont bother with backpedaling because I can kill the mobs before they hit me more than twice. |
