Default Are you using strafing in 1.0.7 ?

Yesterday evening, after 1.0.7 update, Syrtis was camping (as usual) Samal, many ignis were around too.

But i didn't see a lot of people using strafing during the whole battle.

I just wonder if it is because people are not yet used to, or because they just don't need it.

Nope...

ZQSD is messed by hardcoded keybinds (X/C especially) so i have to keep A and E for autorun and walk.

I see no reason to use strafing on my knight.

I voted yes sometimes. I use it to change direction, as it is quite new, ennemies (especially warrior) have some difficulties to follow me around with some strafing tricks ^^.

I will try to train myself to use it a bit more (especially since you can run in circle straf direction + turn opposite direction).

My key binding on AZERTY keyboard:
A Z E (straf left, move toward, straf right)
Q S D (turn left, move backward, turn right)

What is bugging me more is camera movement (and instant rotation).

And I might have already said it, but changing interactions like that is stupid and shows a lack of understanding of any developement guideline. Interactions behaviour or modification has to be defined by the user, and change with user agreement otherwise it's a FAIL.

I've tried it but can't get used to it. I also can't see any practical use for it atm.

Maybe there are future plans to make it more useful.

Rarely. I only use it to turn around faster than before.

I use it a lot, it's easier to circle and stay facing my target this way. Also, as a knight, I can run sideways and keep my back aimed at an ally/allies with my aura activated for war or aura-leeching and stay at full speed.

At a battle at aggs I gave some archers trouble by constantly circling and staying on their back, and made it a lot easier to do. Also positioning has improved slightly enough to be a noticeable benefit.

Warriors are actually playable again.

Though I still get the camera to "walk" or "jump" to random locations and it throws my relative controls off and I wind up plowing my char's face into a wall or something and it's not fun. I think the camera needs to be tweaked a bit in this control-scheme.

FWIW.

I see no advantages on using it, other than getting myself killed because of messing my key selection... does it cound as an advantage? :\

Honestly, what's the purpose of it? To be able to walk to the sides on the wall and whatelse? Please, enlight me
