Freeze and out of body experience

Lately I've been using Wine under mac os x to log in to chat. After a few minutes of being logged in (~2 minutes), my window freezes for about 20 seconds, and then resumes. When it resumes, my camera is locked in place, and I can run around w/o the camera following... Somewhat like an out of body experience, or a body-out-of-me experience...

Note: In pic I'm the guy with Maneuver cast far away in the top right.
