I'll make it short.
You sum up the problem with a large portion of society in general.

1: You think with age comes status - Ignorant.

2: I said you were a bit paranoid to be throwing about accusations of "cheating" so frequently, I wasn't being overly serious but that's the issue - You take it to seriously. (Why so serious?)

3: The last two lines you said - Meathead, brawn does not equal respect.

4: I merely wanted you to talk it out with me in a civilized manner, you chose to hide as you're unable to stomach dealing with an issue, instead deciding to let the problem boil and fester for yourself - Show me some mettle this once.

If you're forty, you've obviously missed some quintessential values of life - a man of forty years of experience shouldn't resort to telling someone to "stfu" and then pulling the "show me respect" card.
Although the latter I can hardly say I'm surprised at to be blatantly honest, seen it before.

A condescending little rant perhaps but I'm very tired of this attitude which is commonplace in society, not just in an MMO.

Every realm has a village idiot, a troll, a douchebag, a know it all and a lonely basement dweller who is actively seeking a romantic online relationship with anyone.
We all know this because we've all encountered them at one point or another.
Dragging this garbage to the community forum is counter productive because it only makes you look like an attention/sympathy seeking whiny prick since personal disputes should not be settled here and because barely any of us know what the full story is and it is not of public interest.
Personally, the only thing that I can deduce based solely on your post is you refusing to get off your moral high horse.
I hope you understand that there will always be people you will not get along with, there will always be conflict, even in a virtual world and if you can't handle that either you lock yourself in isolation inside a basement or just hang yourself up on a tree.

Self satisfaction. Which I can say was achieved.

You missed the last part detailing it's a common way of thinking in any society, it's not just some troll - I've seen this ignorance displayed in a myriad of situations, I'm merely using this guy - who I considered up until the point where he snapped because of a minor aspersion, a decent bloke - as a prime example.

I don't seek sympathy nor attention, I'm not pretentious and treat those who are with copious amounts of contempt in fact.
I guess this is really a rant against certain individuals in society but the incident to ice the cake happened to occur whilst playing on a game that conveniently held its own forums section thus I decided to crucify this poor sap.

The full story is plain to see in the screen shot.
He throws about accusations of cheating very frequently, thus I asked whether he was a bit paranoid.
He then proceeds to tell me to "stfu" then leaves the clan we're both in because of only me, it's not even my clan - the one I feel sorry for is the clan leader - he could've just ignored me but no, after which he then states what is in the screen shot when I tried to ask him why he left the clan.
I do not take the horse, but every iota of sensible thinking I possess tells me I wasn't the one in the wrong and for a man of forty, he acted very irrationally then proclaimed he was owed respect, sorry but it doesn't work that way.

I've always understood that fact, it does not inhibit me from the right to complain about it, albeit pointlessly perhaps.
I did not expect this to change anything, but it's better to put the issue in the limelight as often as possible otherwise how else can it be resolved as a whole?

All it reinforces is that he refused to show some spine and explain himself, regardless of whether he wanted to, I think an explanation is due for leaving a clan upon a whim.
A whiny prick perhaps but he could at least talk with me over it instead of conjuring up ignorant excuses - the only reason he didn't do so is because he could not reasonably justify himself.

I am partially out of order bringing this to light in such a way but you must agree he acted ridiculously.
